Facilities Operative
Salary: £25,948 per annum
Full Time and Fixed Term for 12 months
Job Purpose: To have overall responsibility for the day to day maintenance of the Estates grounds at Bridgend College.
Key activities will be to assist the Estates team with the preparation for Bridgend College's new Town Centre Campus, and decommissioning works.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in maintenance requirements for multi use buildings and land
- Ability to routinely perform maintenance tasks that involve manual handling, lifting and moving equipment, and working at height in accordance with safety regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
- Trades Experience i.e Electrical, Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry, etc, and knowledge of Health & Safety issues, i.e. COSHH, Risk Assessment, IOSH are highly desirable
A valid driving license is an inherent requirement of this role to safely transport maintenance equipment, tools, and materials across all College sites.
