Your expertise will shape sustainable engineering solutions, mentor junior staff, and influence key project decisions.\nIf you’re ready to bring your expertise to a company that values technical excellence, professional growth, and making a difference in communities, we’d love to hear from you.\nThe Role\nMechanical design and specification of water and wastewater treatment systems, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.\nOversee project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction support.\nDeveloping detailed specifications for survey requirements, equipment, systems and interfaces between disciplines, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards\nProducing mechanical designs using project specifications, standard requirements, outline scopes of work, and/or site investigations\nInnovate, challenge, and consider continuous improvement across projects and designs\nSupport the addressing of challenges encountered across our teams, bringing your unique experience to assist in defining solutions.\nAssisting less technical team members with the specification of technical plant and machinery\nLiaison with project managers and commercial teams\nAttending site, both during and after projects\nProducing and carrying out technical presentations during client visits and meetings.\nWe offer a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, and we also offer some flexible working.\nRoles are available in our Bath (Head Office), or Newport offices and will relate to the clients those offices support.\nThis is based on a 40hr contract Monday to Friday.\nAt Bridges we are more than Engineers.\nWe are listed on the Sunday Times Top 100 Places to Work 2024.\nAs a team we shape and support engineering and construction for our clients, who in turn touch the daily lives of millions of people across the UK.
