This role evaluates, implements, and maintains PreK-12 curriculum across print, digital, and blended formats. This role reviews new content for catalog inclusion, ensuring materials are accurate, aligned to competencies, accessible, and properly implemented in the learning management system (LMS). When needed, the Instructional Designer also customizes or creates instructional materials and collaborates cross-functionally to keep the curriculum catalog accurate, current, and ready for use.\nKey Responsibilities\nEvaluate new and third-party curriculum for catalog inclusion, reviewing accuracy, relevance, instructional effectiveness, consistency, accessibility, and alignment to competencies. \nImplement content correctly in the LMS and product platforms. \nMaintain and update curriculum throughout the product lifecycle based on review findings and learner needs. \nCustomize, adapt, or create PreK-12 print, digital, and blended curriculum as needed. \nApply established instructional design frameworks (e.g., backward design, UDL) when customizing or creating content. \nDevelop and review formative and summative assessment items aligned to learning objectives. \nUse e-learning authoring tools to build or modify visual, audio, and interactive learning materials as needed. \nConduct content, instructional, and market research to inform catalog and curriculum decisions. \nDocument instructional design decisions, specifications, revisions, and content requirements. \nAll other duties as assigned. \nRequirements\n Bachelor's degree in education or an equivalent combination of education and experience \nMinimum of two years of direct experience in instruction or learning design \nWorking knowledge of learning management systems and product development \nStrong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex problems \nStrong editorial skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate across curriculum and product teams \nProficiency with e-learning authoring tools and Microsoft 365 \nExceptional interpersonal relationship and communication skills \nProficiency with e-Learning Authoring Tools and Microsoft Suite \nPreferred\nDemonstrated ability to craft formative and summative assessment items \nExperience and/or knowledge of homeschool education market is a plus \nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe are seeking an instructional designer who combines sound pedagogical judgement with a quality-minded approach, and a service mindset.
