This role serves as the primary technical interface between the customer, manufacturing partners, field teams, and Bright Machines’ remote experts. You’ll use live data, diagnostic tools, and hands-on automation and robotics troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high system uptime. Strong communication, customer focus, and experience in automated manufacturing environments are key to success.\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING\nYou will be responsible for multiple robotic assembly systems deployed to a major tech customer\n\nYou will be interacting with customer and customer manufacturing partner about performance of our equipment\n\nYou will be collecting customer feedback and sharing it within our organization as part of continuous improvement process and product roadmap development\n\nYou will be the primary interface between a team of remote technical experts and those on the line which includes field service engineers and customer production leads\n\nUse your troubleshooting skills, live data, diagnostic tools, and customer feedback to assess hardware and software anomalies and determine corrective actions\n\nMaintain status reports at various levels of detail and synthesis\n\nEducate and train customers on device operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair\n\nProvide excellent customer service, actively listen to customer concerns, and address issues\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING\n5 or more years in a customer-facing technical role\n\nExperience in an automation and robotics environment\n\nAssociate's Degree (Mechanical or Electrical), Bachelor’s Degree preferred\n\nAutomation, robotics, and PLC experience\nRobotics preferable: FANUC IR + FANUC DCS knowledge\n\nPLC preferable: Beckhoff PLC\n\nExperience using Vision systems for inspection and point of interest interpolation\nPreferable MATROX and COGNEX\n\nGeneral understanding of vision systems and optics\n\nExperience with labeling applications\nIndustrial printers\nPreferable: HERMES and ZEBRA\n\nUnderstanding of complex programming (nested recipes)\n\nConfidence around electro-mechanical systems and a zest for diagnosing new systems with complex failure modes\n\nTechnical documentation experience (reading, creating, editing)\nUnderstanding of electrical and pneumatic documentation\n\nUnderstanding of 2D and 3D mechanical documentation\n\nBasic skill/experience with 3D CAD software\nPreferable: SolidWorks\n\nAbility to repair and maintain mechanical systems\n\nSelf starter with ability to work productively with minimal supervision\n\nCalm, collected demeanor and commitment to customer service\n\nGood reporting, data collection, and analysis skills\n\nIT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD\nExperience in an electronics manufacturing environment or similar\n\nFamiliarity with code, command line interfaces, and can find your way around a LAN.
