Bright Vision Technologies is unable to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position.\nJob Summary\nBright Vision Technologies is seeking a API Test Engineer to improve software quality through structured testing, automation, defect analysis, and release validation. The work partners with product and engineering teams to strengthen test coverage and reduce delivery risk. The successful candidate will apply practical expertise in Postman/REST Assured/Karate/SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, authentication, schema validation, and API automation, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to reliable, maintainable solutions through the delivery lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview requirements and identify test conditions, acceptance criteria, and release risks.\n\nDesign and execute functional, integration, regression, API, mobile, or non-functional test scenarios.\n\nDevelop and maintain reusable automated tests or test frameworks where applicable.\n\nRecord defects with reproducible evidence, validate fixes, and communicate test status.\n\nWork with engineers and product teams to improve coverage, testability, and release confidence.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience Required: typically 4+ years in a related professional role; exact threshold must match the approved requisition.\n\nPractical experience with the role-specific technology stack: Postman/REST Assured/Karate/SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, authentication, schema validation, and API automation.\n\nProfessional experience in software quality assurance, testing, or test automation.\n\nKnowledge of test planning, test design, execution, and defect lifecycle practices.\n\nHands-on experience with test tools or frameworks relevant to the role.\n\nUnderstanding of web, API, mobile, database, or distributed application behavior as applicable.\n\nAbility to analyze failures, document evidence, and work with developers on root cause.\n\nStrong attention to detail and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdditional hands-on depth in Postman/REST Assured/Karate/SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, authentication, schema validation, and API automation.\n\nExperience with cloud services, automation, and modern delivery practices relevant to the project.\n\nFamiliarity with secure development, accessibility, governance, or regulatory requirements where applicable.\n\nRelevant professional certifications or advanced training in the role’s technology area.\n\nHow to Apply\nWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
