Please apply only if you are confident in your technical abilities and hands-on experience.\n\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect to design and govern cloud-native solutions across compute, networking, data, identity, and security domains on a major cloud platform. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, security architects, and engineering teams to translate strategic objectives into pragmatic, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate brings strong breadth across modern cloud capabilities, depth in at least one major provider, and the architectural judgment to balance time-to-market, cost, security, and long-term maintainability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign end-to-end cloud solutions covering compute, networking, storage, identity, data, and observability layers.\n\nLead solution architecture reviews and approval processes for major cloud initiatives.\n\nDefine cloud landing zone, account structure, and tagging strategies for new and existing workloads.\n\nEstablish reference architectures, blueprints, and reusable patterns adopted across engineering teams.\n\nArchitect security, identity, and compliance controls embedded into the cloud foundation.\n\nDesign networking topologies including VPC/VNet design, transit hubs, hybrid connectivity, and private endpoints.\n\nLead cloud migration, modernization, and re-platforming initiatives across application portfolios.\n\nDrive cost optimization, capacity planning, and FinOps practices across the cloud estate, partnering with finance and engineering teams to make cloud spend transparent, predictable, and tied to delivered business value.\n\nPartner with security architects to embed identity, data protection, and compliance controls from the outset.\n\nProduce architecture artifacts including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, and decision records.\n\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during solution delivery.\n\nEngage with cloud providers and platform partners to evaluate roadmap fit.\n\nTrack emerging cloud capabilities and ecosystem developments, assessing relevance to current and planned workloads, and recommend strategic adoption based on demonstrated value and operational maturity.\n\nMaintain alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory obligations, ensuring that cloud designs satisfy both engineering goals and the broader compliance posture of the organization.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\nEight or more years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture roles.\n\nDeep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security primitives.\n\nExperience with cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation programs.\n\nStrong understanding of containerization, serverless, and managed data services.\n\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nExperience producing formal architecture artifacts and presenting them to senior leadership.\n\nTrack record of leading architecture reviews and influencing engineering direction.\n\nCloud architecture certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMultiple cloud architecture certifications.\n\nExperience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.\n\nFamiliarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.\n\nExposure to regulated industries with strict cloud compliance requirements.\n\nExperience driving FinOps and cost transparency initiatives.\n\nHow to Apply\nWould you like to know more about this opportunity?\nFor immediate consideration, please send your resume to or contact us at (908) 505-3544.
