Please apply only if you are confident in your technical abilities and hands-on experience.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a Storage Engineer with deep expertise across enterprise storage platforms — NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph — to design, deploy, and operate the storage foundation that supports our compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads. The role spans block, file, and object storage across data center, edge, and cloud environments, with strong attention to performance, data protection, and cost. The ideal candidate has operated heterogeneous storage estates at scale, understands the storage characteristics of diverse workloads, and brings strong automation discipline to storage engineering work.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and operate enterprise storage platforms across NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade, and Ceph.\n\nImplement and manage SAN, NAS, and object storage across data center and cloud environments.\n\nBuild storage solutions for VMware, Kubernetes (CSI drivers), and database workloads.\n\nDesign and operate replication, snapshot, and backup strategies for critical data assets.\n\nImplement and operate cloud-tiered storage with FabricPool, CloudVolumes, or equivalent.\n\nBuild storage automation using Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, and platform-native automation.\n\nOperate Ceph clusters including OSD lifecycle, CRUSH maps, RGW, RBD, and CephFS.\n\nDesign and operate storage performance management for high-throughput and latency-sensitive workloads.\n\nImplement data protection strategies including ransomware protection and immutable snapshots.\n\nBuild storage observability across capacity, performance, and health dimensions, surfacing the signals operators need to spot capacity pressure, performance regressions, and failing components before users feel the impact.\n\nLead storage upgrades, firmware lifecycle management, and security patching across the storage estate, planning each campaign to maintain availability for the workloads dependent on the platform.\n\nDrive storage cost optimization including deduplication, compression, and tiering strategies.\n\nTroubleshoot complex storage issues spanning array, network, and host layers.\n\nStay current with storage industry developments and emerging platforms, regularly review release notes and community discussions, and translate noteworthy advances into concrete recommendations and adoption proposals for the team.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\nFive or more years of enterprise storage engineering experience.\n\nDeep expertise in NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade.\n\nHands-on experience with Ceph at production scale.\n\nStrong understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols.\n\nExperience with storage integration for VMware and Kubernetes (CSI).\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills using Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs.\n\nStrong understanding of storage performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills across storage, network, and host layers.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nVendor certifications (NCDA, NCIE, Pure Storage certifications).\n\nExperience with hybrid-cloud storage replication.\n\nFamiliarity with software-defined storage platforms beyond Ceph.\n\nExperience with object storage at petabyte scale.\n\nExposure to AI/ML workloads with extreme I/O requirements.\n\nHow to Apply\nWould you like to know more about this opportunity?\nFor immediate consideration, please send your resume to or contact us at (908) 505-3899.
