The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation and delivery of our Social Media Strategy for the Senior School, from Year 7 to Sixth Form.\nGeneral Duties and Responsibilities: \nSupport the delivery of the Brighton College Social Media Strategy.\nAssist with creating engaging social media content, including photography, short videos, graphics and written posts.\nHelp draft and schedule social media content in line with the School's brand and key messaging.\nMonitor social media channels and report any notable comments, messages or engagement trends to the Marketing Team.\nSupport the collection of content from across the School, including academic, co-curricular and community activities.\nAttend school events to capture photos and video content that showcase the life of the School.\nUpload, organise and maintain digital photo and video assets within the School's content management systems.\nAssist with updating website news stories and other online content.\nWork closely with colleagues across the School to identify and gather stories suitable for social media and other marketing channels.\nSupport the Marketing Team with newsletters, publications and other communications where required.\nHelp monitor the performance of social media content and assist in preparing engagement reports.\nResearch social media trends, emerging platforms and best practice, sharing relevant insights with the Marketing Team.\nAssist with paid social media campaigns and help collate performance data.\nUndertake administrative duties and support the wider Marketing Team as required.\nEnsure all social media content follows the College’s brand guidelines and safeguarding requirements, checking image permissions and seeking approval where necessary before publication.\nAny other reasonable management requests.\nPerson Specification: \nThe successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:\nEssential\nStrong interest in social media, marketing and communications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nGood attention to detail and proofreading ability.\nConfident using social media platforms and digital tools.\nOrganised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.\nPositive, enthusiastic and willing to learn.\nAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nComfortable interacting professionally with pupils, staff and visitors.\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office.\nAn interest in photography, videography and content creation.\nDesirable\nExperience creating content for social media, whether through study, work experience, volunteering or personal projects.\nBasic photography, video editing or graphic design skills.\nExperience using Canva, Adobe Express or similar design software.\nAn understanding of social media analytics and content performance.\nHours of Work:\nMonday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week).\nRemuneration: \nThe salary for this role is £24,784.50 per annum.\nHolidays: \nUpon completion of the contract, any annual leave accrued during the contract will be paid in lieu with the final salary payment.\nBenefits: \nComplimentary lunch is provided.\nFree tickets to the College’s music, dance and drama performances.\nJob specific Learning and Development programme available to all employees.\nLife Cover is provided whilst working at Brighton College after successfully passing probation period.\nContributory pension scheme with matching contributions from the employer up to 9%, which all eligible employees will be automatically enrolled into within three months of commencement of employment.\nEmployee benefit and discount platform.\nWellbeing: \nSubsidised gym membership for the School of Science and Sport is available, which includes access to yoga and Pilates classes, meditation sessions and use of the gym and swimming pool.\nPersonalised health and wellbeing consultations.\nGenerous sickness policy.\nComprehensive wellbeing package.\nAccess to books and magazines from the College Library.\nSafeguarding and Equal Opportunities: \nBrighton College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
