This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll partner closely with Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software development lifecycle.\nYou will drive the adoption of scalable automation frameworks, establish testing best practices, and provide technical guidance across teams. In addition to developing automated test solutions, you'll be expected to perform manual testing when needed, helping the team maintain high-quality releases while balancing speed and reliability.\nThis role is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern test automation, enjoys influencing engineering practices, and is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.\nWhat You'll Do\nDefine and help execute the overall test automation strategy for the SNAP platform.\nPartner with Engineering Managers and development teams to establish quality goals, testing standards, and automation best practices.\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end, integration, API, and UI automation frameworks using Playwright.\nIdentify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiency across multiple applications and services.\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are implemented throughout the release process.\nCollaborate with developers to improve testability, observability, and overall product quality.\nParticipate in architecture and design discussions to ensure quality considerations are incorporated early in the development process.\nAnalyze testing metrics and provide recommendations to improve release confidence and reduce defects.\nLead root cause analysis efforts for quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nExecute manual testing and exploratory testing activities when automation is not practical or during critical release periods.\nMentor other QA engineers and developers on automation techniques, testing strategies, and quality engineering practices.\nWork closely with Product, Support, and Customer-facing teams to understand business requirements and customer workflows.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.\nExtensive experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using Playwright.\nProgramming experience with C#/.NET.\nExperience testing modern web applications, REST APIs, and distributed systems.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and quality engineering principles.\nExperience developing and executing automation strategies across multiple teams or products.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently and influence engineering teams without direct authority.\nExperience mentoring engineers and driving adoption of quality best practices.\nNice to have\nExperience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code testing practices.\nExperience validating infrastructure deployments and DevOps pipelines.\nExperience with test data management and environment management strategies.\nKnowledge of performance testing, security testing, and observability platforms.\nExperience working in highly regulated healthcare or SaaS environments.\nPrevious experience serving as a Test Automation Lead, QA Lead, or Quality Engineering Lead.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nEstablishes and drives a scalable automation strategy across multiple engineering teams.\nSignificantly increases automated test coverage while reducing manual regression effort.\nImproves release quality and confidence through effective quality engineering practices.\nActs as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership on testing and quality strategy.\nCreates a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across the organization. \nWhy Join Resmed\nAt Resmed, our mission is to help people breathe better and live healthier, longer lives.
