This role partners with cross-functional business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, maintain financial models, and support data-driven decision-making that enables the company's strategic and operational objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.\nAnalyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.\nPartner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other business functions to understand forecast assumptions, drivers and variances, and improve financial accuracy.\nSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting through variance analysis and management commentary.\nMaintain and leverage financial accounting and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.\nAssist with ad hoc financial analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives as needed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, month-end close processes, and analytical capabilities through process enhancements and automation.\nBuild collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support informed business decisions.\nMay perform other duties as assigned.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.\n3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a related analytical finance role.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.\nExperience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar ERP platforms.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across functions and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.\nProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.\nCPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.\nExperience in the telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure industry.\nExperience supporting enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting functions.\nKnowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.\nPhysical Demands & Work Conditions\nPrimarily office-based work performed in a hybrid or corporate office environment.\nRegular use of computers and standard office equipment.\nMinimal travel may be required (typically less than 10%).\nWHY JOIN US?\nWe aspire to contemporary ways of working.\nRecognized as a Top Workplace by the Charlotte Observer, Brightspeed HQ is located on the 7th floor of the new Vantage South End - East Tower in Charlotte, NC.
