This role is critical to the development of intelligent solutions that support Brightstar's product portfolio and next-generation technology platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in C/C++ development, advanced image processing techniques, and a passion for innovation in AI and machine learning.\nThis is a hybrid role located in West Greenwich, RI. Applicants must reside within a commutable distance of the office.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software and embedded applications using C and C++.\nDesign and optimize computer vision and image processing solutions, including OCR, OMR, barcode recognition, and multispectral imaging technologies.\nEnhance image and video quality through advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques.\nApply machine learning and deep learning methodologies to improve image recognition, classification, and processing capabilities.\nBuild, curate, and manage image datasets used for training, validation, and performance evaluation of AI models.\nTrain, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.\nAnalyze and optimize solution performance, balancing accuracy, reliability, latency, and resource utilization.\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, hardware, systems, and data science, to deliver integrated solutions.\nResearch and evaluate emerging technologies in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to support the development of next-generation products and technology platforms.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience developing software solutions using C/C++, including experience in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, or related AI technologies.\n\nProven experience designing and implementing computer vision and image processing algorithms.\nStrong understanding of image analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.\nExperience with OpenCV and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.\nExperience developing applications in Linux environments, including system-level programming.\nFamiliarity with embedded systems development is preferred.\nExposure to cloud-based development platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrategic Impact\nThis role helps drive innovation across Brightstar's Product and Technology organization by advancing AI, computer vision, and image processing capabilities that improve accuracy, security, operational efficiency, and the player experience.\nSuccess Profile\nLeading Complexity\nLeading People\nLeading the Business\nLeading Self\n#LI-BK1 #LI-HYBRID\nAt Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.\nBase pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
