For more information, please visit www.brightstarlottery.com.\nRole Overview:\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team and help architect, build, and optimize our enterprise data platform. This role will focus on Snowflake as the core data warehouse technology and will be instrumental in designing scalable data models, defining semantic layers, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases.\nThe Way We Work:\nAgile Approach: We follow agile methodologies, emphasizing adaptability, transparency, and continuous improvement.\nOpen Communication: We require open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.\nInnovation and Learning: We foster a culture of innovation, allowing engineers to explore new technologies and grow their skill sets.\nResponsabilities:\nDesign and implement robust, scalable, and performant Snowflake database schemas and data models.\nDefine and maintain semantic layers to support self-service analytics and machine learning workflows.\nDevelop and optimize SQL for data transformation, aggregation, and consumption.\nIntegrate data from diverse sources including relational databases, interface files, message queues, and APIs.\nCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application developers to ensure data accessibility and usability.\nImplement and maintain data governance, security, and RBAC policies within Snowflake.\nMonitor and tune performance of data pipelines and warehouse queries.\nContribute to the development of data platform standards, best practices, and documentation.\nPreferred Knowledge & Tools:\nExperience with AI/ML workflows and enabling data access for model training and inference.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native data services.\nExposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and how they interact with semantic layers.\nExperience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in data engineering.\nQualifications:\n5+ years of experience in data engineering, database design, or data platform development.\nStrong expertise in Snowflake, including schema design, performance tuning, and data sharing.\nProficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries and stored procedures.\nExperience with data integration from varied sources (e.g., APIs, flat files, message queues).\nFamiliarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow).\nUnderstanding of semantic modeling and analytics enablement.\nSolid programming skills in Python or Java for data processing and automation.\nKnowledge of data governance, security, and access control principles.\nSuccess Profile\nLeading Complexity\nLeading People\nLeading the Business\nLeading Self\n#LI-PZ1 #LI-Hybrid\nThis information reflects Brightstar Lottery’s good-faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of publication. Actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and internal compensation policies. Factors that we consider include, but are not limited to, role, career level, performance, skills, level of expertise, experience, location, market competitiveness, and internal equity. The estimated starting compensation range is 146,064 zł - 224,714 zł.
