In this role, you will support Brightstar Lottery's data conversion, migration, and transformation initiatives by designing, developing, testing, and supporting solutions that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and successful movement between source and target systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable data-processing solutions, automate reconciliation activities, and deliver reliable conversion outcomes that support critical business objectives. This role will be located hybrid in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and maintain data conversion, migration, and transformation processes across enterprise systems\nAnalyze source and target data structures to define mappings, transformation rules, dependencies, and data-quality requirements\nBuild reusable ETL/ELT workflows, scripts, stored procedures, and automated data-processing solutions\nImplement business and technical transformation logic while preserving data accuracy and integrity\nDevelop automated reconciliation, balancing, and validation processes to verify conversion completeness and correctness\nInvestigate data discrepancies, processing failures, and data-quality issues across large and complex datasets\nDesign and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and data processing components\nParticipate in code reviews and technical design reviews\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational database systems\nDemonstrated experience developing software applications, data-processing solutions, or conversion utilities\nExpertise in data conversion, ETL/ELT, data migration, or large-scale data-processing projects\nProficiency with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#, PowerShell, or similar technologies\nAbility to analyze large datasets, troubleshoot issues systematically, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders\nPreferred\nExposure to enterprise-scale data migration or system modernization initiatives\nKnowledge of automated data validation, balancing, and reconciliation frameworks\nUnderstanding of relational database concepts including keys, referential integrity, joins, constraints, aggregations, and transactional data\nBackground supporting mock conversions, test conversions, and production deployment activities\nExperience creating traceability controls between source, transformed, and target data\nFamiliarity with audit-ready documentation and data-governance practices\nSuccess Profile\nLeading Complexity\nLeading People\nLeading the Business\nLeading Self\n#LI-TC1 #LI-HYBRID\nBrightstar is committed to sustaining a workforce that reflects the diversity of the global customers and communities we serve, and to creating a fair and inclusive culture that enables all our employees to feel valued, respected and engaged.
