While we are growing rapidly, we are also selective: We’re seeking inspired, talented people who want to bring profound change and who have fun doing it.\nPosition Summary\nThe Financial Systems Associate Director is responsible for the strategic ownership, design, and evolution of the organization’s ERP and Finance systems ecosystem. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert on ERP capabilities, configuration options, and best practices, guiding how the system is optimized to meet both current operational needs and future organizational growth.\nThis role Product Owner leads the Finance Systems team and is responsible for oversight of the Finance Systems function. Day-to-day operational administration, user support, reporting development, and routine system maintenance are performed by Finance Systems Administrators and Analysts under this role’s direction.\nThe Associate Director also partners closely with Finance, IT, and Operations leadership, ensuring that system implementations, integrations, and advanced configurations are thoughtfully designed, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.\nWhile this role is primarily responsible for system strategy, design, and oversight, the Associate Director is expected to remain sufficiently hands-on to guide advanced system configuration and optimization when necessary-particularly during periods of system transition, implementation, or team skill development.\nThis role is critical to helping the organization mature its ERP ecosystem into a scalable, integrated, and strategically leveraged platform that improves operational efficiency, financial visibility, and decision-making.\nResponsibilities\nERP Ownership & System Strategy \nServe as the functional and strategic owner of the ERP, finance systems, and integrations between finance systems. \nOwn and maintain the ERP and Finance Systems roadmap and vision, balancing organizational priorities, system sustainability, and long-term scalability. \nPrioritize system initiatives across implementations, optimization, integrations, and automation. \nAdvanced Configuration, Implementation & Optimization \nDefine and enforce standards for system dimensions and data structures; workflows and approvals; automation and optimization; data governance and internal controls \nDirectly configure complex or foundational ERP components when work exceeds current team capacity, requires senior-level judgment, or accelerates delivery during implementations and major redesigns. \nServe as the business owner and functional lead for ERP implementations, major enhancements, and system redesign initiatives, providing final approval on system design, configuration, optimization initiatives, and production readiness. \nTranslate complex business needs into implementation-ready functional requirements and solution designs, grounded in system capabilities rather than ad-hoc workarounds. \nEnsure ERP solutions support data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness. \nLead ERP transformation and redeployment, partnering with implementation consultants and internal stakeholders on project governance, prioritization, decision-making, issue resolution, operating model design, change management, and long-term platform maturity. \nSystem Integration Strategy & Oversight \nOwn the functional and architectural approach to ERP integrations, including approval of integration requirements and changes. \nDefine system-of-record principles, data ownership, and integration patterns. \nResolve cross-system design conflicts and serve as escalation point for major integration issues. \nEnsure integrations are scalable, auditable, and aligned with long-term system architecture. \nTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership \nThis role is expected to lead and help mature the Finance Systems function over time, including oversight of ERP administration and analyst resources. \nLead and direct the Financial Systems team, setting priorities and ensuring work aligns with the ERP roadmap and system standards. \nEstablish and reinforce standards for documentation, testing, and change management. \nPartner closely with Finance, Data and Tech, and Operations leadership to understand evolving organizational needs. \nCommunicate ERP capabilities, limitations, and recommended solutions clearly to stakeholders. \nSupport informed decision-making by framing options, tradeoffs, and long-term implications of system choices. \nOther tasks and duties as assigned \nRequirements\nMindsets\nYou’re a recognized leader.Your track record shows that you can manage a team effectively. You enjoy constantly taking in new information and are committed to continuous learning about the world and the work around you. \nProfessional Experience\n5+ years of experience working with cloud-based ERP systems, including hands-on configuration and optimization experience. Sage Intacct experience highly preferred. \nDemonstrated experience leading ERP implementations or major system enhancements. \nStrong background translating complex business needs into scalable ERP designs and solutions. \nExperience owning or contributing to ERP roadmaps and system strategy in a complex organization. \nExperience partnering with Finance, IT, and Operations stakeholders in cross-functional environments. \nExperience leading teams and mentoring staff. \nPrior experience in the nonprofit sector is strongly preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience with multi-entity organization and complex funding streams. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability\nStrong knowledge of financial and accounting processes and how they are supported within ERP systems. \nDeep understanding of ERP configuration, workflows, dimensions, and integration concepts. \nFamiliarity with AI-driven finance tools / AI finance agents preferred. Ideal candidate will have proven skills in creating, implementing, and maintaining Finance related AI Agents and Automation. \nAbility to recognize ERP design patterns, best practices, and anti-patterns. \nExcellent ability to evaluate tradeoffs between configuration, customization, and automation. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nAbility to lead through influence, provide clear direction, and make informed system decisions. \nHigh degree of judgment and discretion when working with sensitive financial and organizational data. \nPhysical Requirements\nCandidates should have physical mobility for tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day. Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation.\nSalary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
