BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.\nAbout this Role:\nBRINC is seeking a dynamic and proactive person to fill the role of Installer Technician. This role involves installing hardware & software for BRINC’s Drone as a First Responder (DFR) customer program. The DFR technician will travel to customer locations for installation and Seattle Headquarters as needed.\nThe ideal candidate should have experience in computer networks, mechanical assembly, an understanding of handling/installing electronics, working understanding of low and high voltage wiring, and have a general knowledge of electronics & mechanics as it relates to hardware assembly and troubleshooting.\nThis role requires a 75% travel commitment to engage with customers on-site, prior to, during and post implementation.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTravel to customer sites in varying weather conditions to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain BRINC hardware and software.\n\nProactively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide timely service, and address any issues or concerns during implementation.\n\nWork with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.\n\nWork closely with internal stakeholders to advocate for customer needs and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.\n\nEnsure installations comply with building codes & safety standards.\n\nMaintain strong relationships with our Law Enforcement / Public Safety customers to drive customer success and satisfaction.\n\nQualifications:\nAbility to assemble and disassemble products, following installation guidelines & manuals when appropriate\n\nBasic computer knowledge and networking aptitude\n\nBasic operational knowledge of MacOS, Windows or Linux operating systems\n\nGeneral working experience with electronics components, low and high voltage electrical wiring, and general knowledge of mechanics as it relates to hardware assembly and troubleshooting\n\nExperience working in a fast paced environment\n\nAbility to work independently and in a small team, take initiative, and communicate effectively\n\nAbility to independently book and manage all aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and itineraries.\n\nAbility to safely climb and work from ladders at various heights, as needed for the role.\n\nAbility to lift and carry heavy objects of varying weights, as required for the role.\n\nMust possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nBachelor of Science Degree\n\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly of electronics for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or related industries\n\nExperience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure for commercial, industrial, or defense applications\n\nExceptional Communication & Organizational Skills\n\nProactive and results-oriented work ethic\n\nFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification\n\nOperational Experience with DFR and/or Public Safety Drone Programs\n\nKnowledge of the Google Office Automation suite\n\nTechnical Proficiency in Drone Hardware and Software\n\nLive within 1.5 hours of a major airport\n\nBRINC Culture Values:\nTry the hard stuff\n\nBe innovative - Invent the future\n\nMove fast\n\nListen to end-users\n\nStrive for excellence\n\nDon’t build a dystopia\n\nBe frugal\n\nSave lives through technology\n\nIf you’re interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you’ll apply.
