BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.\nAbout this Role:\nAs a DFR Maintenance Technician at BRINC, you will directly contribute to BRINC's mission of supporting first responders while working at the intersection of advanced electronics and precision manufacturing. You will leverage your expertise in product assembly and troubleshooting to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved for every DFR station we build. You will work directly with first responders to maintain and repair critical DFR equipment, ensuring they are able to operate life-saving missions 24/7. This role is based out of Seattle with the Station technician traveling to customer locations for repair and maintenance\nThe ideal candidate has experience in networking, electromechanical assembly, and handling/installing electronics.\n This role requires a 50% travel commitment to engage with customers on-site for equipment repair and maintenance (Based on business need).\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduct Assembly:\nWork directly with advanced electronics, electromechanical assemblies, harnessing, and sheet metal assemblies to produce DFR stations.\n\nFabricate and assemble components using schematics, diagrams and written instructions.\n\nPerform soldering, wire/cable splicing and cable installation.\n\nTesting, Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance:\nConduct thorough testing to ensure the product meets stringent quality requirements.\n\nEnsure all builds meet established quality standards and specifications.\n\nDocumentation:\nMaintain accurate records of assembly processes, testing results, repairs and any modifications.\n\nRead and provide consistent feedback on assembly work instructions and customer repair manuals.\n\nCustomer Collaboration:\nTravel to customer sites in varying weather conditions to repair and maintain BRINC hardware and software.\n\nProactively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide timely service, and address any issues or concerns during implementation.\n\nWork with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.\n\nQualifications\n3+ years experience in the manufacturing/repair field with emphasis on large, complex electromechanical assemblies.\n\nAbility to understand and utilize work instructions and technical manuals.\n\nStrong analytical skills and ability to work independently.\n\nStrong communication skills, ideally with prior experience interacting with external customers.\n\nAbility to use hand and power tools.\n\nAbility to use diagnostic tools.\n\nAbility to lift up to 49lbs.\n\nAbility to sit, stand or be on your feet for extended periods of time.\n\nExperience performing product repairs on-site with customers.\n\nMust possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.\n\nWilling to travel 50% of the time.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in avionics, electronics, or related field; or extensive relevant experience.\n\nExperience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure for commercial, industrial, or defense applications.\n\nExperience with networking equipment.\n\nExpertise in soldering, troubleshooting and using testing equipment.\n\nUnderstanding of quality control processes and documentation.\n\nBRINC Culture Values:\nTry the hard stuff\n\nBe innovative - Invent the future\n\nMove fast\n\nListen to end-users\n\nStrive for excellence\n\nDon’t build a dystopia\n\nBe frugal\n\nSave lives through technology\n\nIf you’re interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you’ll apply.
