BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.\nAbout this Role:\nWe are seeking an RF Test Engineer to design and develop test systems for validating the performance, reliability, and safety of our drones and public safety products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating automated and manual test setups, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards. You will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to develop test procedures and improve product designs based on test results.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop test hardware setups, fixtures, and automated testing systems for drone RF subsystems\n\nDefine and execute test plans to validate RF subsystems and how they interact with the rest of the drone .\n\nDevelop and maintain test scripts and software for automated testing.\n\nTroubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues, providing recommendations for design improvements.\n\nConduct environmental and stress testing to ensure product durability in real-world conditions.\n\nWork with engineering teams to refine designs based on test results and failure analysis.\n\nMaintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and issue resolutions.\n\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience\n\n3+ years of experience in RF testing, preferably in UAVs, robotics, or consumer electronics\n\nProficiency with RF test equipment such as VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Wideband Radio Communication testers, and signal analyzers\n\nExperience with automated test development using Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills for electrical and RF systems\n\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with LTE, GNSS and WiFi\n\nKnowledge of regulatory testing and compliance for RF subsystems.\n\nFamiliarity with antenna design.\n\nExperience with PCB debugging and hardware validation methodologies.\n\nBRINC Culture Values:\nTry the hard stuff\n\nBe innovative - Invent the future\n\nMove fast\n\nListen to end-users\n\nStrive for excellence\n\nDon’t build a dystopia\n\nBe frugal\n\nSave lives through technology\n\nIf you’re interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you’ll apply.
