BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.\nAbout this Role:\nWe are seeking talented and experienced Senior-Principal level Electrical Engineers that can lead the conceptualization, design, and testing of BRINC’s drone systems. In this role, you will be responsible for circuit design, power distribution, sensor integration, and PCB development, ensuring our products meet high performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, software, and autonomy components, playing a key role in bringing innovative technology to market.\nThis role demands specialized expertise in electrical engineering, but at BRINC, our Senior Engineers are also versatile problem-solvers. You’ll take ownership of our toughest technical challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where adaptability is critical.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn hardware development from start to finish - from specification to design, prototype, testing and manufacturing.\n\nWork collaboratively with software, mechanical, perception, controls, and manufacturing engineers.\n\nDesign both flight hardware and test setups to validate designs.\n\nEstablish top-level design architectures and implementation methodologies for the team. Clearly communicate design decisions with internal stakeholders.\n\nPerform and document design analysis and testing results; make data-driven decisions to land key product features.\n\nWork closely with product partners to ensure the final product meets design intent and customer needs.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to the broader electrical engineering team.\n\nQualifications:\n5+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering\n\nBachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering degree\n\nExperience with industry standard layout & schematic capture tools and deep knowledge of PCB design best practices\n\nExperience developing PCBAs for digital embedded systems (MCU, SoC, FPGA, etc.)\n\nExperience designing power regulation and delivery systems\n\nExperience with standard embedded interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) as well as high-speed camera, display, and memory interfaces (MIPI, DDR, PCIe, etc.)\n\nPreferred Skills\n10+ years of experience designing electronics for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or related industries\n\nMasters of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree\n\nExperience developing UAV/UAS electronic systems for commercial, industrial, or defense applications\n\nExperience working with domestic and international supply chain partners\n\nIn-depth understanding of partnering with Mechanical and Product Design engineers to design for high shock, vibration, humidity and thermal environments\n\nExperience working with FPGAs (Xilinx), including FW development\n\nExperience running Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations and knowledge of best practices\n\nBRINC Culture Values:\nTry the hard stuff\n\nBe innovative - Invent the future\n\nMove fast\n\nListen to end-users\n\nStrive for excellence\n\nDon’t build a dystopia\n\nBe frugal\n\nSave lives through technology\n\nIf you’re interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you’ll apply.
