Must be capable of managing multiple projects and mentoring intermediate and junior instrument engineers.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities:\nPrepare instrumentation proposals based on client RFQs and standards\nLead instrument projects and manage client technical meetings and presentations\nDevelop and manage instrumentation design solutions and deliverables\nLead selection and sizing of process instrumentation and interface with instrument vendors\nLead field and technical evaluations of instrumentation projects\nProvide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation: BSc in Instrument, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) Engineering\nExperience: Min Yr = 10+\nLicensure: P.E. Preferred\nTechnical Skills: Knowledge of ISA, API, and ASME instrumentation standards\nKnowledge of SPI and instrument vendors sizing software\nManagement: Experience mentoring and leading teams required\nOther Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills\nProfessional Development Opportunities:\nAssist with developing instrument group standards and work process\nAssist with Developing instrument group deliverables and technologies to generate them\nField evaluations, RCFA, modelling & calculations\nDevelopment of training and mentoring platforms for internal team growth\nDevelopment of subject matter expertise in multiple areas\nIndividual field assignments typically each have their own unique requirements. Prior to deployment on any field assignment, you must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements. Should you be unable or unwilling to meet assignment-specific requirements, your continued employment would then be subject to the availability of other assignments whose requirements can be met. These unique requirements may include:\nYou must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights).\nYou may be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.\nYou may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection.\nYou must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include but not be limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots.\nYou may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces\nYou may be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.\nYou may be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.\nPay Range: $140,000 - $185,000 annually\nThe above pay range represents a general guideline; however, Brindley considers several factors when determining base salary that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, certifications, specific work location, and current market conditions.
