Our passion is building.\nResponsibilities\nConceptual Estimating\nReview and understand project documents at a conceptual and schematic level\nExecute cutting-edge, pixel-perfect digital takeoffs for mission-critical data center infrastructure, pioneering precision that transforms every square foot into a technological powerhouse of performance\nPreparation of internal estimates based on use of historical cost information from bids/completed work\nAble to complete design review/analysis to identify value engineering opportunities\nPreparation of proposal information for clients\nProduce accurate budgets from conceptual and schematic design phases through final estimates that are consistent with the organization’s goals and strategy\nBid Administration\nPrepare and maintain status of plan reproduction\nSolicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors\nPrepare subcontractor bid packages\nTransmit addenda and other bid information to subcontractors\nEnsure proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day\nUnleash innovative negotiation strategies to revolutionize subcontractor pricing and drive exceptional value\nProject Knowledge\nReview bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up question on every bid\nHas a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned\nDevelop RFI’s and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage\nPerform a comprehensive “bid day” analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades\nUnderstand how to fit subs to the size/scope of project\nCreate bid lists that fit scope of job, ensuring the right subs for the project\nInclude value engineering ideas on every bid\nSubcontractor award\nThoroughly checks requirements to buy the proper scope\nAward subs in a timely manner to ensure release of materials\nEnsure that subs are aware of (and commit to) the project schedule\nProvide subs with as much information as possible (PM, Super, permit status, etc.)\nStakeholder Management\nIdentify and qualify new subcontractors and material suppliers\nLead stakeholders through the design and preconstruction phase of assigned projects\nSupport business development in reviewing preliminary budgets with clients\nOversee internal team, including project managers, to prepare costs estimates using a competitive strategy \nLead client meetings and presentations throughout the preconstruction phase of the project\nNegotiate for project construction services\nWork closely with client to help deliver a satisfactory project that meets the owner’s objectives\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. civil, architectural or construction), construction management or related field\n5+ years of estimating and bidding experience and/or turnkey project management in Mission Critical/Data Centers\nProven ability to successfully lead estimates and bids of mission critical construction projects\nProficient in Microsoft Excel; Knowledge of PlanSwift, iSqft, Bluebeam preferred\nMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.\nCompetence-based Qualifications:\nStrong communication skills - both written and verbal\nAble to interact with all levels of the organization and external customers\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills;
