Our passion is building.\nResponsibilities\nExecute and enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures ensuring project site is kept clean and organized. Conduct weekly safety inspections and monthly safety audits.\nEnforce quality standards, processes and procedures, conduct quality control audits.\nDirect all construction activities and administrative processes to ensure successful project planning, execution, and closure.\nSupport the identification and pursuit of new business development opportunities while maintaining repeat client relationships.\nEstimate and takeoff the scope, cost and duration of project; analyze bids made by subcontractors; select and contract subcontractors and prepare the bid proposal for submission to the owner.\nPrepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions.\nFind the best right answer by recommending methods, materials and layouts to reduce construction costs based on design needs/capabilities.\nDetermine needed resources, such as manpower, materials and equipment, from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.\nObtain all necessary permits and licenses; direct or monitor compliance with building and safety codes, other regulations, and requirements set by the project’s insurers.\nStudy job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods to drive down costs, save time and deliver value.\nMaintain the communication, progress and productive mutual interaction of various stakeholders in such a way that overall risk is reduced.\nPerform day-to-day administrative tasks including maintaining construction documents and processing paperwork; including pay applications, project closeout etc.\nMaintain and control project scope and budget.\nProject manpower projections, updates, and coverages.\nInitiate, review, and negotiate change orders.\nDirect, coordinate, and monitor the activities of construction workers on a construction site to ensure specifications are met.\nConduct weekly project OAC, subcontractor and internal staff meetings.\nAssign and lead the day-to-day work of Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Superintendents\nProvide ongoing performance feedback and coaching for Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. civil, architectural or construction), construction management or related field.\n5+ years project management experience in commercial construction.\nRelevant experience supporting $50+ million projects from Large Box Industrial, Advanced Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, etc. \nPrior conceptual estimating and bidding experience in commercial construction is required.\nKnowledge of construction principles/practices required.\nAbility to understand and solve complex challenges to present alternative solutions.\nDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nProficiency with computer applications including Procore, P6, Microsoft Office suite, and SharePoint.\nProven experience implementing safety protocols with a track record of successfully implementing and enforcing safety procedures on construction sites ensuring a secure work environment for project team.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company, for this position currently or in the future.\nWorking Conditions:\nThe Project Manager’s work is primarily performed indoors in a main office or field office at the construction site; occasionally outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.\nLight physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 20 pounds and some standing, walking, sitting, talking and hearing.\nConstruction site will change or vary and/or position may require travel.\nEnvironment will be demanding and fast paced; number of hours typically worked in a workweek may exceed 40 hours per week and often “on call” 24 hours a day.\nPosition requires a high-level of autonomy as it relates to decision-making that impacts company results, client relationships, and subcontractor interaction.\nDepending on location of position, nationwide travel may be required.\nAt Brinkmann Constructors, our passion for people means investing in their financial, mental, and physical well-being.
