This role helps create a positive dining experience for residents by maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with all food safety standards. The Cook works collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure a well-organized kitchen and excellent service each day.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.\nAccommodate special dietary needs and preferences while ensuring excellent food quality and presentation.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment that meets all food safety standards.\nSafely operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and slicers.\nFollow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and portion control procedures.\nAssist with inventory management, supply ordering, and minimizing food waste.\nWork collaboratively with Dining Services team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.\nHelp create a positive dining experience for residents, guests, and staff.\nSupport special events, holiday meals, and other culinary initiatives as needed.\nMaintain required certifications and comply with all federal, state, local, and organizational regulations.\nParticipate in training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Dining Services department.\n\nThe above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform. If selected for the position you will receive a full job description.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nRequired:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.\nPreferred:\nPrevious cooking experience in a healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or food service setting.\nCulinary education or formal culinary training.\nServSafe Certification.\nAllergen Certification.\nExperience preparing meals for special diets, including low-sodium, diabetic, and texture-modified diets.\nStrong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.\nExcellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.\nBenefits\nCareer Growth & Development -
