We have recently developed and are rolling out our own Care Planning system, Care 4 Care Plan, which covers care planning, risk alerts, wound care, incident reporting and CQC compliance across four homes. Around it sit Power Platform apps, integrations with CareHQ, Microsoft 365 and Planday, and Raspberry Pi devices in the homes.\nWe are looking for an experienced Applications Support Engineer to keep our systems running day to day and be the first person our homes turn to when something isn't working. This isn't a greenfield build role: you'll maintain, monitor, fix and improve software that already exists.\nWhat we offer\n Hybrid working in Bristol with regular visits to our 4 homes\nMentoring with a clear path into a developer role as your skills grow\n\nTraining and certification funding\n\nWork that directly improves care for residents\n\nA small team where your work is visible and matters\n\nKey responsibilities:\nProvide first- and second-line support to home managers and staff, logging, prioritising and resolving issues.\n\nMonitor Care 4 Care Plan and our Azure services (Functions, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage), investigating errors through logs and alerts.\n\nDiagnose and fix bugs in existing TypeScript and Python code, including API integration scripts for CareHQ, Microsoft Graph and Planday.\n\nMaintain Power Apps and Power Automate flows and keep Power BI reports refreshing correctly.\n\nLook after Raspberry Pi devices in the homes, including nurse call and media devices: updates, restarts, and on-site checks.\n\nManage user accounts, access and permissions across our systems.\n\nWrite and maintain runbooks and documentation so no fix depends on one person's memory.\n\nCover system support when the Technical Lead is on leave, escalating anything with clinical risk promptly.\n\nHelp onboard and support external customers as we sell the platform more widely.\n\nFollow data protection and information governance requirements (UK GDPR, DSPT) in everything you do.\n\nEssential skills and experience\nAt least 2 years in application support, IT support with scripting, or a junior developer role\n\nAble to read, debug and make small fixes in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python\n\nComfortable working with REST APIs, JSON and log files to trace a problem\n\nWorking knowledge of a cloud platform, ideally Microsoft Azure\n\nBasic Linux command-line skills\n\nFamiliar with Git for version control\n\nClear, patient communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical care staff\n\nMethodical and careful, especially where resident data is involved\n\nFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, for visits to the homes\n\nHours\nFull time\nLocation\nBristol -
