This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it.\nPRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION\nLead and develop multifunctional teams to ensure effective process technology transfer of commercial and clinical products manufactured at the Devens Single Use Facility, resolve process issues, and optimize process and facility efficiency. This role is accountable for maximizing productivity, minimizing costs, and resolving process challenges through leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional resource coordination.\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLeads technology transfer and new product introduction into the manufacturing facility. Accountable for providing support to manufacturing teams to achieve production targets for clinical and commercial products.\nDirects activities associated with product changeover, continuous improvement initiatives, project prioritization, and production and maintenance scheduling to meet site metrics.\nAllocates department resources to support deviations, defects, and changes associated with maintaining safe and compliant production.\nChampions the company's, site's, and department's mission, goals, and guidelines, taking action that advances cultural evolution, innovation, and leadership across the organization.\nPromotes and demonstrates safety leadership in pursuit of an injury-free operating environment, ensuring safety investigations and CAPAs are closed promptly.\nCollaborates with Manufacturing staff to identify trends, variances, and bottlenecks in the manufacturing process, and helps develop solutions to maximize productivity, quality, and process efficiency.\nRecruits and develops a high-performing team with diverse backgrounds and talents; coaches and counsels team members to build their skills and fosters an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation.\nMaintains and communicates performance metrics to the team, setting and upholding high performance expectations.\nEstablishes an environment that fosters continuous improvement in cost, quality, safety, and customer service.\nBuilds and maintains strong relationships inside and outside the organization.\nSupports health authority inspections.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\nB.S. in biological sciences, chemical/biochemical engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, or equivalent experience; or\nM.S. in the same disciplines, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, or equivalent experience; or\nPh.D. in biological sciences, chemical/biochemical engineering, or related discipline.\nMastery of SOPs and cGMPs, with the know-how to work and manage within a regulatory environment.\nDemonstrated aptitude for engineering principles and manufacturing automation systems.\nDemonstrated ability to shift the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations.\nProven leadership ability to make difficult decisions in a logical, rational manner; demonstrated ability to work as a senior management team member and engage and influence team members in a matrixed environment.\nPrevious managerial experience demonstrating proficiency in selecting, motivating, and retaining a high-performing team; effectively managing personnel issues; and planning and administering financial resources.\nAdaptable to a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing business environment.\nEffective communication skills to coordinate with support groups and obtain needed cooperation and support in a timely and effective manner.\nDemonstrated strong track record of change management, including implementation of continuous improvement and OPEX strategies.\nWe hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials - if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.\nCompensation Overview:\nDevens - MA - US: $178,420 - $216,197\nThe starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully - carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.\nBenefits:\nSubject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, you may be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefit plans - including wellbeing support, retirement and financial protection benefits, and insurance offerings (medical, dental, vision, life and disability).\nU.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.\nNon-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.\nDepending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs.
