What you'll actually be doing and why it matters

That's where you come in.

As our GMP Laboratory Operations Lead for Building 6, will sit at the heart of our Moreton site's Analytical Science and Operations team - connecting three distinct laboratory organisations (Analytical Leadership & Testing, Long Term Stability, and Marketed Life Stability) into a cohesive, high-performing whole.

You'll be the person who makes sure the right conversations happen at the right time, that resources are aligned before they become a problem, that safety is embedded in the culture - not just the paperwork - and that when an auditor walks through our doors, we're more than ready to welcome them.

This is a role where your impact is visible, broad, and lasting.

Here's what a typical week might look like

• You're facilitating the Building 6 Laboratory Leadership Team - bringing ALT, LTS and MLS together to align on priorities, navigate competing demands, and make joined-up decisions that keep the labs moving forward
• You're working alongside GMP Laboratory Systems to make sure equipment qualification, calibration and maintenance activities are planned around operational needs - not in spite of them
• You're delivering hands-on training on a new analytical technique to a scientist who's just picked it up, making sure it sticks rather than being a one-off demo
• You're coaching an early-career scientist who's just taken on their first safety rep role, helping them find their voice and build their confidence
• You're leading a cross-functional discussion on lessons learned from a recent near-miss - turning it into a genuine improvement, not just a tick-box exercise
• You're preparing your teams for an upcoming regulatory inspection - not in a scramble, but calmly, because you've built a culture of readiness

What you'll bring

You don't need to have done this exact role before but you do need to bring:

• Solid GMP laboratory experience - you understand the regulated environment deeply and you've operated within it successfully
• A track record of working across complex, matrixed organisations - you know how to navigate ambiguity and align stakeholders without it becoming exhausting for everyone involved
• A genuine passion for safety - not as a compliance obligation but as something you personally believe in and actively promote
• The ability to influence without authority - people follow your lead because you earn it, not because an org chart says so
• Experience driving change and improvement - you've seen what good looks like and you know how to take others on the journey with you
• A scientific degree or equivalent hands-on experience - the credibility to be taken seriously in a highly technical environment
