The PDS BI&T Analytics and AI Enablement Sr. Software Engineer (AI/ML) role is accountable for developing AI/ML & Gen AI Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI/ML Models & Gen AI solutions in Product Development and Supply - Analytics & AI Enablement organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Design and develop systems that combine retrieval-based methods with generative models to enhance the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated content.
- Utilize Vector Embeddings: Develop and optimize vector embeddings for various applications, including semantic search, recommendation systems, and natural language understanding.
- Design autonomous agent systems performing multi-step tasks beyond simple chatbots.
- Work on Agentic Design Patterns & any one of the frameworks like Langgraph, Agent SDK, Crew AI etc
- Create reusable agent node libraries and extensible platform patterns supporting multiple business domains
- Collaborate with other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions and reusable components.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
- Design versioning strategies and testing frameworks for agent workflows (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to best practices for software development.
- Develop and maintain documentation for AI/ML models, algorithms, and processes.
- Work with large datasets, perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Deploy and monitor AI/ML models in production environments, ensuring reliability and robustness.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other specialized AI domains.
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 5-7 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Agentic AI and AI/ML.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JS/React.
- Solid understanding of AIML algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience in implementing and production deployment of at least 2 Agentic AI solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
- Prior experience in global life sciences especially in the PDS functional area will be a plus
- Experience working internationally with a globally dispersed team including diverse stakeholders and management of offshore technical development team(s)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred
