We inspire.\nPurpose of the Role:\nWe are looking for 3 Digital Learning Content Designers to join the People function on an indefinite basis. The role will be based from Noida in India.\nThe Digital Learning Content Designer plays a key role in supporting the British Council’s enterprise-wide skills strategy. You will report to the Skills & Capability Digital Lead and this role is responsible for designing and developing engaging, learner-centric digital content that supports priority capability development and compliance training across the organisation.\nThe Digital Learning Content Designer role sits within the Organisational Design & Development team, part of the Talent and Organisational Development pillar of the People Function. This role works closely with colleagues across the People Function and business units to ensure learning content is aligned with strategic priorities and supports the transformation of learning across the British Council.\nAccountabilities.\nDesign and develop digital learning content that supports the enterprise-wide skills strategy\nCollaborate with the Skills & Capability Digital Lead to translate strategic priorities into engaging learning experiences.\nEnsure all content is aligned with the British Council’s digital learning ecosystem and platform standards.\nSupport the development of learning products focused on priority capabilities such as digital fluency and data literacy\nAccountable for design and maintenance of agreed digital compliance training products.\nApply instructional design principles and multimedia tools to create learner-centric content.\nMaintain and update content on digital learning platforms (LMS/LXP) to ensure relevance and accessibility.\nUse learner feedback and analytics to continuously improve digital learning content.\nContribute to the lifecycle management of British Council-specific learning products.\nChampion inclusive and accessible design practices in all learning content.\nSupport cross-functional initiatives related to DEI, talent mobility, and performance through content design.\nQualifications & Experience.\nSignificant experience in digital learning design.\nAdvanced skills in instructional design and multimedia content development.\nStrong project management capabilities, with an emphasis on leading innovation. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.\nExperience with digital learning platforms and content authoring tools.\nConfident with AI tools.\nUnderstanding of skills frameworks and capability development.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills.\nExperience in using data to inform content design decisions.\nImportant Information:\nDepartment: People Solutions\nContract type: Indefinite (Permanent)\nPay band: 7\nLocation of the role: Noida, India ONLY\nClosing Date: Sunday 18th October 2026 at 23:59 India time.\nPlease note that candidates must have the pre-existing, legal right to work India at the time of application.
