Up to £50,000.00\nLocation - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1XA\nPattern of Work - 36.5 hours, Monday - Friday\nWhat you need to know about the role\nAs an Infrastructure Engineer,you'll play a key role in shaping and supporting the infrastructure services that underpin the organisation's operations.\nWorking across a diverse technology landscape, you'll help deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions while contributing to the ongoing modernisation and continuous improvement of our technology estate.\nYou'll work closely with End User Computing (EUC), Network and Security teams, as well as developers and other IT professionals, helping to ensure technology solutions are aligned, integrated and fit for purpose across the wider business.\nThrough collaboration and technical expertise, you'll contribute to the design, implementation and support of resilient infrastructure services that enable operational success.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdminister, maintain and enhance the organisation's Nutanix virtualisation platform and supporting infrastructure services.\nMonitor, troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring high levels of service availability and performance.\nManage backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions, regularly validating resilience and recovery capabilities.\nSupport the lifecycle management of server, storage and infrastructure platforms, including upgrades, patching and capacity planning.\nDevelop and maintain automation, standardisation and operational processes to improve the efficiency and reliability of infrastructure services.\nContribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that align with security, operational and business requirements.\nWork collaboratively with EUC, Network, Security and Development teams to support integrated technology services and project delivery.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.\nProvide technical support and guidance to colleagues, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices across the IT function.\nParticipate in infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance services and technologies. \nWhat we need to know about you\nExperience administering enterprise server and infrastructure platforms across Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments.\nExperience administering enterprise virtualisation platforms, ideally including Nutanix & VMware\nExperience supporting server, storage and compute infrastructure in a high-availability environment.\nExperience managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions, ideally using technologies such as NetBackup, Veeam or Commvault.\nStrong experience administering Microsoft cloud technologies including Entra ID, Intune and Exchange Online.\nExperience managing endpoint deployment, configuration, compliance and lifecycle management across enterprise device estates\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP networking and core infrastructure services.\nExperience monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues within a complex enterprise environment.\nExperience developing and maintaining automation solutions using PowerShell.\nWhat we can offer you\nWe know our employees are our greatest asset and alongside the great benefits packages we offer, we continue to invest in their careers by providing a huge range of training and development opportunities. \nWhatever your stage in life, you'll find a range of benefits to complement your work-life balance.
