You will work closely with manufacturing customers, Team Leaders, Technicians and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities, drive continuous improvement and ensure the effective operation of critical process control equipment and services.\nReporting to the Improvement Engineer, you will help deliver planned maintenance, improvement projects and breakdown recovery activities, whilst supporting the development of engineering teams and promoting best practice across the department.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within one of the UK's largest and most complex industrial environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate planned maintenance, improvement activities and breakdown recovery work to meet customer requirements.\nProvide leadership, guidance and support to Team Leaders and Technicians.\nWork closely with manufacturing customers to deliver high-quality engineering services.\nIdentify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and service delivery.\nMonitor, analyse and report performance in line with modern maintenance principles.\nSupport the sustainable operation of critical equipment and services maintained by the Process Control Workshops.\nManage contractor activities and third-party specialist support contracts.\nPromote safe working practices and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across the department.\nWhat we need to know about you\nWe are looking for an organised and analytical engineering professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will combine strong technical knowledge with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.\nEssential Requirements\nHNC, HND or Degree qualified in an Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience within a maintenance, process control or engineering environment.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to lead, guide and develop engineering teams.\nProven organisational and problem-solving capability.\nExperience coordinating engineering and maintenance activities.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:\nProcess control systems\nInstrumentation and calibration\nRadiation detection systems\nCCTV systems\nRadio communication systems\nWeighing systems\nQuality management systems\nComputerised maintenance management systems\nMinor project delivery\nContinuous improvement methodologies\nManagement of technical teams\nTraining, competency and skills development programmes\nGas monitoring\nAnalysers\nWhat we can offer you \nWe know our employees are our greatest asset and alongside the great benefits packages we offer, we continue to invest in their careers by providing a huge range of training and development opportunities. \nWhatever your stage in life, you'll find a range of benefits to complement your work-life balance.
