Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include independent feature development, technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and supporting broader mobile platform initiatives.\n**Hybrid in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA 3 days per week onsite.**\n**In person interviews will be required for this role**\nBenefits:\nComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nEmployer-Paid Life Insurance\nEmployer-Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance\n401(k)\nPaid Time Off (PTO) that includes Vacation Leave, Sick Leave, and 11 Paid Holidays\nEducational Assistance\nSalary: $120-150K\nClick here to learn about BRMi's culture.\nClick here to see BRMi’s Glassdoor reviews\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications and features for iOS and/or Android platforms.\n\nDevelop secure, scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions that align with business requirements and platform standards.\n\nInvestigate and resolve production issues, application defects, and performance concerns.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional Agile teams, including front-end developers, back-end engineers, designers, analysts, and product stakeholders.\n\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\n\nFollow established platform-specific development standards, coding practices, and software engineering best practices.\n\nDevelop and maintain unit tests and UI tests to support application quality and reliability.\n\nParticipate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.\n\nIntegrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, back-end services, and third-party libraries.\n\nMonitor mobile operating system updates, development trends, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.\n\nDevelop and maintain reusable mobile components and contribute to shared component libraries.\n\nCollaborate with team members to improve application performance, stability, accessibility, and maintainability.\n\nSupport mobile application releases, deployment activities, and ongoing production maintenance.\n\nProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior developers as appropriate.\n\nContribute to mobile platform enhancements, architectural improvements, and cross-team initiatives based on experience level.\n\nSupport enterprise mobile initiatives and contribute to platform strategy and technical standards as appropriate.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n\nExperience developing native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms, with the level of experience dependent on position seniority.\n\nProficiency in applicable mobile development languages and tools, including Swift, Objective-C, and Xcode for iOS or Kotlin, Java, and Android Studio for Android.\n\nExperience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile application features.\n\nExperience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, back-end services, and third-party libraries.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologies; SAFe experience preferred.\n\nUnderstanding of mobile application architecture, platform-specific development standards, and software engineering best practices.\n\nExperience writing and maintaining unit tests and UI tests.\n\nExperience troubleshooting application defects, debugging code, and resolving technical issues.\n\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with developers, designers, product owners, analysts, and other technical stakeholders.\n\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage assigned development tasks and priorities.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile application build and deployment processes preferred.\n\nKnowledge of mobile accessibility standards and inclusive application development practices preferred.\n\nExperience with mobile application performance monitoring and optimization preferred.\n\nExperience developing reusable components and contributing to shared mobile libraries preferred.\n\nExperience mentoring junior developers or providing technical guidance preferred for senior-level positions.\n\nExperience supporting mobile platform architecture, enterprise initiatives, or technical strategy preferred for senior and principal-level positions.\n\n** BRMi will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.**\n**This is a W2 opportunity only**\nEOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled\nWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and commitment at all levels.
