The Master Painter will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, coordinating materials and project schedules, and providing guidance to junior painters.\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of industry safety standards and best practices.\nOnsite in Vienna, VA.\nBenefits:\nComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nEmployer-Paid Life Insurance\nEmployer-Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance\n401(k)\nPaid Time Off (PTO) that includes Vacation Leave, Sick Leave, and 11 Paid Holidays\nEducational Assistance\nHourly: $35.00-$46.50/hr\nContract Length: 3-6 months\n**An In Person interview will be required for this role**\nClick here to learn about BRMi's culture.\nClick here to see BRMi’s Glassdoor reviews\nResponsibilities\nPerform advanced interior and exterior painting for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.\n\nPrepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming.\n\nPerform drywall repairs, wall preparation, and other surface restoration activities to ensure high-quality finishes.\n\nApply paints, primers, stains, coatings, and specialty finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.\n\nSelect appropriate painting materials and application methods based on surface conditions and project specifications.\n\nInspect completed painting work to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with established standards.\n\nIdentify and correct surface imperfections, coating defects, and other finish-related issues.\n\nRead and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements.\n\nCoordinate painting materials, equipment, and supplies to support project completion.\n\nAssist with estimating material quantities, labor requirements, and project timelines.\n\nTrain, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior painters.\n\nOperate ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and painting equipment safely and effectively.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\n\nFollow OSHA regulations, workplace safety procedures, and industry best practices.\n\nCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding project progress and requirements.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\n10+ years of commercial, industrial, or institutional painting experience.\n\nExtensive knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques, surface preparation, coatings, primers, stains, and finishes.\n\nExperience performing drywall repairs, patching, caulking, and wall preparation.\n\nAbility to apply paints and coatings using appropriate equipment and techniques.\n\nExperience safely operating lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and other painting equipment.\n\nKnowledge of OSHA safety requirements and painting industry best practices.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and work orders.\n\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively to complete assigned painting projects.\n\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\n\nExperience supervising, training, or mentoring other painters preferred.\n\nExperience applying specialty coatings, epoxy systems, and decorative finishes preferred.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of color matching and finish application techniques preferred.\n\nExperience estimating painting materials, labor requirements, and project durations preferred.\n\nExcellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills preferred.\n\n** BRMi will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.**\n**This is a W2 opportunity only**\nEOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled\nWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and commitment at all levels.
