The Graphics Operator will oversee all aspects of production operations for live and live-to-tape programming. This role includes the primary responsibility of creating all graphic elements within the Adobe system before each production, such as lower thirds, bugs, charts, and full-screens, and ensuring each element is tested prior to airing. Additionally, the Studio Production Manager will maintain all existing production equipment, including proper tagging and inventory management, checking gear in and out for production projects, and troubleshooting equipment as needed. This role will also support other control room tasks involved in productions. This position is based at a BMG client’s corporate site in the New York City area and reports to the Executive Producer.\nEssential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:\nWork closely with Executive Producer, Producers, Technical Director, Operations Manager\nGraphics creation (general and specific, charts and graphs, etc.)\nTrack playback during the show\nMaintain the lower third of a TV screen during production\nCue, play and mix pre-recorded sound during production\nRun teleprompter during production\nCreate transcriptions\nPost-production of all captions\nLight editing in post-production using Adobe Premiere\nAssist in control room ingest process for studio content, offload remote field shoots and execute file transfers\nActively participates in the support of video operations team including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance\nCoordinate with content groups on footage requests for shows, pulls footage from in-house resources and requests through external vendors\nPrepare studio assets and operate playback for live studio production\nAssist in server organization and management across multiple storage volumes\nArchive content and object storage and keep detailed documentation\nAssist in organization and management, asset metadata tagging and troubleshooting\nCheck out and keep inventory of hard drives and SD cards\n* light animation experience a plus\nRequirements\nMust have experience building production graphics for live broadcast\nMust have 3+ years’ experience with the Ross Xpression system\nMust have experience working in a live broadcast environment\nMust have live production experience in sports, news, and entertainment\nExperience developing graphics for various delivery devices\nProficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript\nProficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, After Effects, and Illustrator\nA strong eye for visual design and composition\nEffective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.\nUnderstanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design\nExperience with computer-aided design\n5+ years of relevant
