If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.\nJob Description:\nASIC Design Automation Engineer\nBroadcom’s ASIC Products Division is seeking a Design Automation Software Development Engineer. They will define, develop, deploy and support the methodology, design automation software tools and flow used in ASIC development.\nThis job will involve development, testing and deployment of software products and usage methodology to a world-wide, cutting edge, ASIC Design technology development and implementation team. These tools are used to support IC hardware development, synthesis, place, route, as well as verification that the ASIC is implemented correctly.\nThe candidate should have hands-on experience developing and debugging software in a team environment. They must also have an understanding of digital logic design and implementation. The candidate must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills to conquer the demanding and ever changing requirements of the ASIC customer base.\nResponsibilities\nUsing Bash, Python, Ruby, or TCL scripting to automate design tool processes\n\nDevelopment of complex tools in languages such as C++\n\nDebugging tool and design flow related issues for IC designers\n\nProviding support/training on tools and methodologies to engineers at multiple geographies\n\nWorking directly with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues\n\nApplying hardware/software skills to create innovative solutions\n\nDeveloping documentation and training on custom flows and internal tools\n\nSkills & Experience\nProficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, C/C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment\n\nDigital Logic Design and Verilog HDL\n\nUnderstanding of programming issues such as OO design, data structures, sorting, recursion, stack overflow and greedy algorithms.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills\n\nStatic Timing Analysis\n\nPower Delivery Verification and Analysis\n\nEducation:\nBachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is USD 61,900.00 To USD 99,000.00\nAs a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
