If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.\nJob Description:\nThe Board Hardware Engineer functions as the project lead engineer that works with the board architect on future designs, the product manager for customer requested features, mechanical engineering on thermal solutions, physical layout engineers as well as the SI engineers to ensure the solution meets requested parameters, validation team to make sure the design meets the design parameters, and customer support when specific issues need to be addressed. The engineer also will create the schematic and functional specification and interface with the firmware team when bringing up a design.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe board design engineer functions as the project engineer that:\nInterprets product requirement information into electronic schematic information\n\nWorks with component engineering in selecting and approving new components\n\nWrites functional specifications and unit test plans\n\nCan learn quickly company online document control system\n\nManipulates Bill of Materials\n\nWorks with physical design to determine location of components and routing constraints\n\nCan do pre and post simulation of the board design\n\nWorks on multiple assignments keeping marketing and management informed of progress and roadblocks\n\nIs fluent in the English language, able to interact verbally with peers, management, marketing and customers in person or on the phone\n\nIs able to utilize and coordinate some project assignments with contracted design and test services\n\nSupports new and past designs through engineering change orders and problem debug\n\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent\n\n5+ years of related experience with PCB design and development\n\nExperience performing high speed PCB designs\n\nExperience designing and laying out DC/DC regulator circuits\n\nExperience performing board bring-up, using oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters and soldering tools\n\nWorking knowledge of Cadence-Allegro System Capture and PCB Editor software tools\n\nExperience with simulation tools such as:\nCadence Sigrity PowerDC and OptimizePI\n\nLTSPICE/PSPICE\n\nFamiliarity with common bus protocols such as DDR4, PCIe, UART, I2C, SPI and USB\n\nOffice tools: MS-Office(Excel, Word, Visio), Google (Sheets, Docs)\n\nDesired Skills:\nExperience using Python, C, TCL, VHDL, Verilog, Github\n\nMicrocontroller programming\n\nHigh current DC/DC design and layout\n\nTest Equipment: TDR and VNA\n\nExperience using and following checklists\n\nExperience performing board layout, PCB Stack up design, is a plus\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is USD To USD\nAs a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
