May develop software programs, products and tools required for the operation and control of programmable products.\nYou will lead the next generation of networking applications using your expertise in advanced high performance, scalable, virtual networking data plane distributed systems, software technologies and open source tools to solve difficult customer use cases and delight them in the process. You will collaborate with cross functional teams on innovative projects, with the authority and scope to apply your expertise in a fast-paced and technically driven environment.\nResponsibilities\nWork on NSX Data Plane for the ESX hypervisor - the industry-leading virtual networking high performance data plane from Vmware by Broadcom.\nWork within a collaborative team setting with other developers to architect, design, implement and integrate new and enhanced featuresVirtual switches\nNetwork overlay technologies like vxlan and geneve\nPhysical NIC drivers and SmartNIC solutions , including leverage offloads at the appropriate software/hardware interface \nSecurity, QoS\n\nDevelop reliable data plane virtualization technology related new features using C/C++/Python.\nWrite well-documented, high performance, reliable, maintainable code.\nProficient at creating the testing strategy, detailed test cases and creating test data to ensure high quality of deliverables\nEnsure engineers document and perform thorough unit and functional testing, seeking reviews to ensure high quality code.\nParticipate in specification, design, implementation, evangelism and support of the product, as well as improve existing features and product performance\nProvide technical leadership within a group on complex problems and issues and contributes to company patent portfolio and publications\n· Characterize, analyze, optimize and benchmark performance, including applying performance tools\n· Hands-on performance development including CPU utilization, memory profiling, optimizations and benchmarking\nWork closely with DevOps\nTechnically lead team with multiple other engineers to develop, detailed software design and documentation\nMust have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team\nRequired Skills\nA firm grasp of design and development of the virtual networking data plane\nOccasionally research innovative technologies, implement proofs of concept, and share your learnings with the team\nLarge system architecture knowledge\nExcellent design and programming skills with a focus on virtual networking data plane distributed systems\nDemonstrable implementation experience of high performance, highly concurrent, scalable multi-threaded solutions.\nKnowledge and previous experience in developing reliable software using C/C++/Python.\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail\nExperience of performance analysis, benchmarking, and trouble-shooting including data gathering, scalability testing, and system profiling is an advantage.\nIn-depth hardware architectural knowledge including multi-core/multi-thread CPUs, pipelines, cache hierarchies, TLBs, interconnects and memory address translations, NUMA\nHands-on performance development including CPU utilization, memory profiling, optimizations, and benchmarking\nDesire to work in an exciting environment, working on interesting projects with multiple stakeholders and delivering new technologies and products to the marketplace.\nHard-working with a \"whatever it takes\" attitude.\nVaried background and familiarity with a broad range of technologies and infrastructure.\nRecognized as an engineering leader or technical expert in the domain\nAttract key talent to the team through technical evangelism\nFoster innovation, creative thought and new ideas and / or solutions in team\nEducation and Experience\nBachelors and 12+ years of related experience; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected or Masters degree and 10+ years of related experience or PhD and 7+ years or related experience\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is USD 143,800.00 To USD 230,000.00\nAs a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
