Delivering a robust, production-ready product is critical to our time-to-market goals, ensuring we meet the intensive infrastructure needs of the AI space with speed and precision.\nAs a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for Network Operating System(NOS) on a switch/router platform. You will work cross functionally with marketing, architects, software test, and silicon development teams to design, implement, document and test high quality software.\nThis position also provides the opportunity to work on the most advanced switching ASICs made by Broadcom.\nWe are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and can fulfill the responsibilities outlined below:\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and program the forwarding plane using SAI interface.\n\nWork on end-to-end features including compilation, integration, and debugging of the Network Operating System.\n\nCollaborate closely with large customers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.\n\nEngage in significant cross-functional teamwork, coordinating with SQA and support teams.\n\nMaintain a high standard of documentation for all code and system designs.\n\nParticipate actively in open-source software development environments.\n\nBe comfortable with and use AI tools for improving work productivity and quality.\n\nRequirements:\nTechnical Expertise: Strong forwarding plane experience in applications such as L2, L3, ACL, QoS, Tunnels, SRv6 and Telemetry.\n\nSoftware Development: Proficiency in C/C++ and Python coding.\n\nSDK Experience: Hands-on experience using ASIC SDK to program the forwarding plane.\n\nOpen Source: Expertise in open-source software such as FBOSS or SONiC.\n\nTools: Familiarity with development tools including GNU tools, Github, Jenkins, and Gerrit.\n\nCommunication: Very good communication skills are required for frequent interaction with large-scale customers.\n\nEducation/Experience: BS in Computer Science/ Electronics & Communications or equivalent with minimum 12+ years of experience or MS with 10+ years of experience.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is USD 143,800.00 To USD 230,000.00\nAs a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
