We’re looking to hire highly talented & motivated technicians to maintain and improve our growing wafer fabrication equipment set. \nThis is a Night Shift position (12.25 hour day shift) in the Test Equipment Group. This position comes with a broad and rewarding set of responsibilities. You’ll be supporting new and established tool sets as well as new platforms. You’ll develop & apply extensive equipment knowledge, job skills and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments & tasks in creative and effective ways. You’ll be part of our ongoing equipment improvement and optimization processes as part of the Equipment Team.\nSpecific Qualifications, Critical Skills, Objectives and Responsibilities:\nStrong command of Equipment Technician fundamentals.\nUses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.\nDemonstrated and comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of wafer fab equipment maintenance.\nSystematic methods demonstrated for new tooling acceptance, and start-up as well as optimization and upgrade work to improve performance on existing platforms.\nDemonstrated understanding of manufacturing and equipment optimization.\nWorks on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions.\nWork is completed with minimal supervision.\nEffectively completes established procedures in a precise and efficient manner, with strict adherence to the documented process and procedure.\nDemonstrated Analytical Skills/Problem Solving.\nAbility to reason through multiple possibilities and exhibit good judgment in repair strategies based on incomplete (but adequate) data.\nStrong demonstrated troubleshooting skills.\nRecognizes the importance of understanding robust data driven solutions and key performance metrics utilizing the existing data modules (SQCS, CMMS, data mining/management skills).\nAbility to determine and document or revise methods and procedures for manufacturing equipment.\nTypically provides guidance/training to other less experienced Technicians.\nStrong Adaptability & Initiative\nTakes ownership & initiative to identify, define and address issues within their area of responsibility.\nAble to effectively multitask (with limited, but concurrent high priorities).\nFinds creative ways to get the job done right, even under pressure.\nAbility to tackle jobs outside their immediate core area of expertise if required (strong general technician fundamentals and methods).\nPassionate about overall tool availability, MTTR and MTBF.\nStrong willingness to learn new skills (especially to self-teach and extrapolate from previous experience and/or leverage from those around them).\nEnsure that all of appropriate CMMS entries are being made for daily maintenance activities and that the PMs are being completed on time, at 95% or better.\nGreat Communication/Teamwork\nAbility to work well with Equipment Engineering, Production, and Process Engineering to improve and stabilize new and existing platforms, line response, quality, yield, tool reliability, productivity, cycle time, and cost reduction.\nDemonstrated teamwork and strong partnership within Equipment Maintenance Team with superb x-functional teamwork.\nInclined to both mentor new Technicians and openly learn from experienced colleagues.\nValues other points of view (including Management, Operations, Engineering, Factory Business Control, Fab IT Systems and Clean Room Facilities teams).\nStrong ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to deliver quality repairs on a daily basis.\nDemonstrated Commitment, Values & Flexibility\nStrong work ethics.\nAble to embrace and fuel x-functional & organizational goals and objectives.\nFlexibility with regard to work hours and critical coverage as needed.\nQualifications:\nAA degree in Electronic Technology, or equivalent military training.\nExperience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of wafer fabrication equipment.\nDemonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, vacuum technology and related principles and tools.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.\nProven ability to work in a dynamic environment and deliver results.\nTrack record of self - motivated learning.\nLegal authorization to work within the U.S.\nWe are seeking a highly technical person to work on a dynamic team installing, repairing, modifying, upgrading and maintaining complex Integrated Circuit (IC) Manufacturing equipment in a clean room environment.\nPreferred experience on some or all relevant manufacturing test equipment.\nApplicant must have:\nAA degree or higher in Electronics Technology, or equivalent military training. \n0-1 years semiconductor experience or relevant years military and/or technical industry experience.\nAdditional Job Description:\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is $22.00 - $31.00 perhour.\nThis position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.\nBroadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
