This role oversees all aspects of chemical handling, including procurement support, receiving, storage, distribution, point-of-use delivery, inventory control, and hazardous waste collection and disposal.\nThe position ensures strict adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards while maintaining full traceability, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness to support 24/7 fab operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nChemical & Material Lifecycle Management\nManage chemicals and materials from procurement through final disposal, ensuring full lifecycle accountability\nReceive, inspect, and verify incoming chemicals against purchase orders and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)\nLabel, store, and handle chemicals according to compatibility and hazard classifications\nDeliver chemicals to production areas, ensuring safe transport and proper documentation\nMonitor chemical usage and maintain accurate inventory levels\nInventory & Documentation Control\nMaintain real-time inventory tracking systems for all chemicals and materials\nEnsure proper labeling, barcoding, and traceability of all materials\nManage SDS documentation and ensure accessibility and compliance\nSupport cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies\nHazardous Waste Management\nCollect, segregate, label, and store hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory and site requirements\nCoordinate with certified waste vendors for timely and compliant disposal\nMaintain waste manifests, logs, and cradle-to-grave documentation\nEnsure proper handling of chemical waste streams, including acids, solvents, and toxic materials\nSafety & Compliance\nAdhere to all EHS policies, including OSHA, EPA, and local/state regulations\nFollow HAZWOPER guidelines and site-specific hazardous material procedures\nUtilize appropriate PPE and enforce safe handling practices\nParticipate in safety audits, inspections, and incident response as required\nIdentify and escalate safety risks or non-compliance issues\nOperational Support\nSupport production teams with chemical availability and readiness\nAssist with chemical delivery systems, bulk chemical distribution, and gas monitoring systems as needed\nCollaborate with Facilities, Engineering, and EHS teams to support site operations\nAssist in continuous improvement initiatives related to chemical handling and efficiency\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3+ years of experience in chemical handling, material management, or manufacturing support\nKnowledge of hazardous materials handling and chemical safety practices\nAbility to work in a cleanroom environment and follow strict protocols\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nAbility to lift and move materials in accordance with safety guidelines\nPreferred\nExperience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech industry\nHAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain)\nFamiliarity with chemical inventory systems and tracking software\nKnowledge of chemical delivery systems and gas monitoring systems\nForklift or material handling equipment certification\nWork Environment\nSemiconductor cleanroom and chemical storage areas\nExposure to hazardous chemicals requiring strict adherence to safety protocols\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and chemical suits\nMay require standing, walking, lifting, and working in confined or controlled environments\nSupport of a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including shift work as needed\nKey Competencies\nSafety-first mindset\nAttention to detail and accuracy\nAccountability and ownership\nStrong communication and teamwork\nAbility to follow procedures and regulatory requirements\nAdditional Job Description:\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is USD 24.00- USD 29.00 perhour.\nThis position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.\nBroadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
