We are seeking an Associate Production Equipment Technician to join our team in Edgewood, NY.\nUnder the general direction of the Supervisor - Production Equipment Technical Support, the Associate Production Technician maintains all production equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability. This includes performing various corrective and preventative maintenance activities on all production equipment, including equipment specific to archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data (File Based servers) where applicable. Production Technicians read and interpret technical service bulletins and manuals to develop troubleshooting plans for problems. They exhibit the ability to resolve repairs and know when to escalate the issue to enlist the expertise of Sr. Technicians, vendors, contractors, or management to aid in the problem resolution process. Production Technicians provide some limited on-the-job training to less experienced associates and share knowledge and experience with them as required.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPerform preventative and corrective maintenance as well as troubleshoot equipment problems. Respond to Technical Support calls in a prompt manner to ensure timely resolution.\nAppropriately logs all support calls into technician tracking system (RPM, CLS or other) to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for. \nInstall electrical wiring and controls for all production-related equipment. Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware related to production equipment.\nRelocate production equipment and support the installation of new equipment as required by management. \nEffectively track parts usage and provide input to management and the Inventory Analyst with regard to suggested inventory levels. \nContribute to a positive quality of work life and foster team spirit and morale.\nProvide input to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians.\nEnsure compliance with maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements. This may include the use and maintenance of an equipment tracking database. Consistently adheres to all safety procedures.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and/or technical/vocational education.\nPreferrable to have vendor/equipment repair certification for at least one of Broadridge’s insertion platforms (e.g., Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs, etc.).\nPreferably 3 years’ experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of equipment repair. Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of high-speed production equipment is optimal.\nMust possess good oral and written communication skills. Ability to take directions and to work effectively under time constraints is necessary.\nAbility to stand while working through-out the duration of assigned shift.\nAbility to lift, carry and move 25+lbs., through-out duration of the assigned shift.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nHourly Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience\nBonus Eligible\nAnnual Bonus: $1,250 bonus recurring every year.\nBenefits: Medical, dental, life, and vision insurance. 401k w/ match, parental leave, and more.
