We are currently hiring a Digital Press Operator for our South Windsor, CT Location.\nBasic Purpose: Digital Press Operators perform general press maintenance, adhere to company and departments policies, procedures, and standards. Digital Press Operators are highly proven and efficient at their roles. Their roles include but are not limited to loading stock, processing/allocating files, setting up the press, troubleshooting, monitoring the quality of printed output, clean up the work area, and meet department production goals.\nJob Responsibilities:\nMaintain a safe working environment. Perform lockout/tagout procedures appropriately.\nLoad the press with appropriate stock and consumables.\nSet up and print images on appropriate stock, following the production schedule. Print the job before the due date.\nTroubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.\nPerform quality inspection in compliance with proofing and approval procedures.\nPerform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.\nMay perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.\nConsistently meet department production and quality goals.\nAbility to efficiently setup and run up to 2 printers at a time.\nStay abreast and maintain knowledge of cutting edge technology in the work environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent;\n1 to 3 years related printing experience.\nSkills/Competencies:\nUnderstands overall operation of equipment and their interrelations: and an ability to troubleshoot and isolate failures.\nUse time efficiently; works at a pace to get things done within an appropriate timeframe; meets deadlines.\nAbility to work in a diverse group environment. Relates well and shows respect and consideration for others; builds relationships.\nAbility to safely use a wide range of tools and equipment/machinery. Possesses a mechanical aptitude.\nUnderstands and applies industry/job standards, regulations, and rules. Understands the flow of work \nTakes initiative to seek formal/informal training. Develops new skills and improves performance; asks questions to gain understanding. Applies new information, concepts or procedures and learns from experience. Strives to become a Sr. Digital Press Operator.\n\nMust have strong visual inspection skills to detect quality defects, ensure color consistency and registration of printed output.\nRequirements:\nBe able to move heavy paper roll.
