You’ll contribute directly in the codebase while guiding design and delivery across services, APIs, event flows, BFFs, and selected frontend components within an event-driven architecture.\nOur platform is built primarily with C#, .NET, PostgreSQL, AWS, Blazor, and MudBlazor, with services running across Lambda, ECS, and EC2. We continue to evolve our engineering practices, tooling, and platform capabilities as the platform grows.\nWe take an AI-first approach to engineering, with AI-assisted development embedded into day-to-day workflows. This role will help drive effective adoption of those practices and support the design, implementation, operation, and governance of selected AI agents and agent-enabled workflows.\nWhile this role does not include line management, it does involve strong technical leadership through mentoring, design guidance, and raising engineering standards across the team.\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership across design, implementation, and delivery\n\nContribute hands-on in the codebase and model strong engineering practices\n\nHelp shape architecture across microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, BFFs, and frontend applications\n\nGuide the design of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions\n\nWork with architects and engineers to turn technical direction into practical outcomes\n\nDefine and promote engineering standards, patterns, and best practices\n\nSupport engineers through code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and technical problem-solving\n\nCollaborate with product, delivery, and business stakeholders to align solutions with priorities\n\nTranslate requirements into clear solution designs and actionable technical work\n\nIdentify technical risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement\n\nContribute to AWS-based architecture and engineering practices, including environments using Lambda, ECS, and EC2\n\nImprove observability, reliability, performance, security, and operational readiness across the platform\n\nContribute to Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD practices to improve consistency and delivery efficiency\n\nHelp embed AI-assisted development into engineering workflows across design, coding, testing, and documentation\n\nSupport the design, operation, and continuous improvement of selected AI agents and agent-enabled workflows\n\nHelp define and apply appropriate guardrails, governance, and quality controls for AI-enabled tools\n\nMaintain clear technical documentation for architecture, services, event flows, pipelines, AI agents, and key decisions\n\nRequirements\nStrong commercial experience in software engineering, with significant hands-on experience in C# and .NET\n\nExperience designing and building production microservices, APIs, and distributed systems\n\nStrong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous integration patterns\n\nExperience working with BFF patterns and service-oriented frontend integration approaches\n\nStrong experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL\n\nStrong grounding in software design principles, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and maintainable system design\n\nExperience contributing to or leading technical design and architecture decisions\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices; Jenkins experience is strongly preferred\n\nUnderstanding of build automation, deployment pipelines, release processes, and engineering workflows\n\nExperience with testing, code reviews, and software quality practices\n\nMeaningful hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day engineering work\n\nPractical understanding of AI-first software development\n\nExperience contributing to, supporting, or governing the use of AI agents or LLM-powered engineering workflows\n\nAbility to break down complex technical problems and guide delivery through clear, pragmatic technical direction\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and architects\n\nExperience mentoring or technically guiding other engineers\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with AWS Lambda, ECS, and EC2\n\nExperience with Docker and container-based development\n\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code and environment automation\n\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-aware development\n\nExperience with messaging, event streaming, or related event-driven technologies\n\nExperience with Blazor and MudBlazor\n\nFamiliarity with observability and monitoring tooling in distributed systems\n\nExperience defining governance, controls, or operating models for AI agents or AI-enabled internal tools\n\nExperience working in a growing product or platform engineering environment\n\n#LI-Hybrid\n#LI-LM1\nWe are dedicated to fostering a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive environment and are committed to providing a workplace that empowers associates to be authentic and bring their best to work.
