This role blends software engineering, systems engineering, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on automation, resiliency, observability, and cost efficiency.\nThe SRE will partner closely with application development, infrastructure, security, and product teams to reduce operational toil, improve system reliability, and enable faster, safer delivery of services.\nResponsibilities\nReliability & Resiliency Engineering\nDesign and implement high-availability, fault-tolerant architectures across on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS).\n\nLead multi-region DR planning, implementation, and testing, including RTO/RPO definition and validation.\n\nDefine and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to balance reliability with delivery velocity.\n\nDrive self-healing automation and proactive remediation strategies.\n\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nBuild and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and configuration management tools (e.g., Chef).\n\nDevelop automation to eliminate manual operational tasks (TOIL reduction).\n\nCreate reusable modules, pipelines, and guardrails for standardized deployments.\n\nAutomate certificate lifecycle management, key rotation, and security updates.\n\nObservability & Monitoring\nDesign and implement end-to-end observability (metrics, logs, traces, synthetic monitoring).\n\nBuild dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to enable fast detection and resolution of incidents.\n\nImprove signal-to-noise ratio in alerting to reduce operational fatigue.\n\nPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and lead post-incident reviews with actionable follow-ups.\n\nCloud & Platform Engineering\nEngineer and operate platforms on AWS, including services such as:\nEKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway\n\nCloudFront, WAF, ALB/NLB\n\nCloudWatch, X-Ray, IAM, Secrets Manager\n\nLead cloud migrations and modernization initiatives, including legacy system refactoring.\n\nImplement secure networking patterns (VPCs, private subnets, controlled egress).\n\nPerformance, Scalability & Cost Optimization\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks through testing and analysis.\n\nDrive FinOps initiatives to optimize infrastructure cost without compromising reliability.\n\nImplement capacity planning and autoscaling strategies.\n\nCI/CD & SDLC Enablement\nDesign and support CI/CD pipelines enabling safe, repeatable deployments.\n\nEmbed reliability practices into the SDLC (testing, rollout strategies, rollback).\n\nPartner with development teams to improve operability of applications before production.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nPartner with security and legal teams to meet regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., data residency, GDPR-related controls).\n\nImplement secure access controls, secrets management, and encryption best practices.\n\nParticipate in security reviews, audits, and risk assessments.\n\nYour Profile\n8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering\n\nStrong programming experience in Python, Java, or similar languages\n\nDeep experience with Linux/Unix systems\n\nHands-on expertise with AWS and cloud-native architectures\n\nProven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code\n\nStrong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems\n\nExperience operating mission-critical, high-volume platforms\n\nNice to Have\nExperience in financial services or highly regulated environments\n\nExperience with EKS/Kubernetes at scale\n\nFamiliarity with Chaos Engineering and resilience testing\n\nExperience leading cloud cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives\n\nPrior experience transitioning traditional infrastructure teams into SRE practices\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nReduced incidents and faster recovery times\n\nMeasurable reduction in operational toil\n\nImproved system availability and performance\n\nClear reliability metrics aligned with business outcomes\n\nEngineering teams empowered to ship faster with confidence\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive environment and are committed to providing a workplace that empowers associates to be authentic and bring their best to work.
