Additionally, as needed, the Account Operations Associate will support the other business units within Operations to ensure a high level of member service is achieved and maintained.\nEssential Job Functions/Responsibilities:\nProcess request for Verification of Deposit adhering to established turnaround timeframes \nPerform various mail processing functions as assigned \nPerform onsite record retention and destruction, in accordance with departmental guidelines, procedures and policies \nCompile and maintain departmental daily/monthly statistical reporting data in accordance with stated deadlines \nSort and date stamp department mail in accordance with the established staff rotation schedule \nReturn mail processing \nReview assigned service request categories daily and respond/resolve in accordance with established time frames and member service standards \nReview all assigned reconciliations daily and maintain all supporting documentation for outstanding items and/or problem items on the reconciliation \nResearch outstanding reconciliation items and follow up with appropriate areas to clear items in accordance with established timeframes. (No aging items over 30 days) \nAdhere to all internal and external member service standards, providing effective member service to both internal and external customers \nPerform various IRA/HSA functions as assigned \nHandle account maintenance items related to Campus Connect, Smart Sense accounts \nOpen and close member accounts, IRA accounts in accordance with member instructions, department procedure and applicable regulations \nMail member certificate maturity notification and processes member certificate renewal instructions in accordance with policies and department procedures \nProcess all IRA transaction corrections to the member accounts and to IRS in accordance with department procedures and IRS regulations \nMaintain credit union IRA/ HSA member files ensuring timely filing of all transaction Documentation \nEnsure proper IRA paperwork is received in-house prior to the settlement of any deceased members IRA \nCollaborates with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient completion of tasks and duties without an impact to Account Operations \nProvide and embrace ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement for Credit Union \nStrong understanding of DNA new account opening process for New Members / Existing Members \nProcess new online membership applications and additional share applications via Meridian Link, utilization of SalesForce for member onboarding. \nOpens all New Accounts by mail, adhering to account opening process and enhances due Diligence \nOpens all New Organization and Specialty accounts.
