We are seeking a Director, Real Estate Development to join our team!\nDirector, Real-Estate Development (Life Sciences / Pharma) Opportunity\nThe Director, Real-Estate Development is responsible for taking ownership of real estate projects from planning, execution, and delivery of one or multiple projects simultaneously and actively leading due diligence matters on potential development deals. The role is also responsible for the direction and motivation of the project team including consultants and the construction team, all in keeping with delivering a superior product expected by all stakeholders. It is the main liaison with brokers, municipalities, trade organizations and property owners.\nVacancy Status: Current Opportunity\nWhat you will do as a Director, Real-Estate Development (Life Sciences / Pharma):\nLeads major real-estate development files through all phases\nResponsible for the quality control of proforma files in conjunction with the Finance department\nResponsible for the financial success, the schedule and the quality of the projects\nParticipates in both real-estate and construction development files\nPlans strategically to create growth, improve financial performance and gain competitive advantage\nAlways looking to expand the customer base\nTakes a proactive stance in business development initiatives and functions\nDevelops, grows and maintains a network of brokers to assist with site acquisitions in target markets\nWorks closely with the ownership group to identify and deliver the best available sites and ensure required milestones are met\nDirects the improvement of our existing portfolio through lease negotiations and manages property dispositions\nEnsures timely and accurate updates on the status of all development activities\nWhat You Will Bring:\nA minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in the real-estate/construction industry\nExperience working on Life Sciences / Pharma project portfolio\nExcellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams\nStrong legal acumen - able to structure legal agreements\nStrong negotiation skills\nStrong business acumen\nSolid understanding of proformas and bridge financing\nExcellent analytical skills, ability to act strategically\nHas good control of files at all times, possesses strong follow-up skills\nA deal-maker with
