Program staff provide compassionate support, life-enhancing services, and community-based resources to help empower each family. Together, we guide families on their journey back to independence and into permanent housing.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSupervise case work staff through weekly individual and monthly group meetings.\nReview case records and reports at least monthly.\nDirect staff interventions in difficult or crisis situations.\nMaintain and monitor program variance reports to ensure statistical goals are being met.\nMonitor program for quality assurance and contract compliance.\nProvide each staff member with monthly progress report and yearly performance appraisals.\nAssist in the development and implementation of services for clients.\nMaintain a case load and provide direct services to client, including intake, engagement, assessment, service plan development, referral, advocacy, counseling, exit summaries and follow-up.\nInterview and recommend staff for hire.\nSubmit reports to supervisor monthly, or more frequently as required.\nRepresent the agency at meetings and events.\nAct as a liaison between BronxWorks and other CBO’s, the area community district, and government agencies.\nPerform additional duties as assigne\nPROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES\nOversee case management, ensuring uniform quality of services and compliance with regulatory agencies.\nRecruit, train, supervise and motivate a team of well-informed, professional staff.\nIntervene in major crisis with clients, staff and agencies, ensuring well-being and compliance with laws and government regulations.\nImplement goals for relocating the maximum number of homeless families to appropriate permanent housing.\nCoordinate an inter-agency program of comprehensive social services, providing specialized mental health service.\nPrepare social services statistics and reports for performance analysis and program planning.\nFormulate and implement social services policies and procedures.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMaster’s degree in social work or related field.\nLMSW is required within 6 months of hire if not obtained as of hire date.\nPrior supervisory experience working in a social service agency preferred.\nProficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile, and copier equipment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to use a computer for prolonged periods.\nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.\nAbility to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.\nAbility to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.\nAbility to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.\nAbility to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.\nBronxWorks seeks to build an inclusive organization grounded in respect for differences.
