Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.\nJob Description\nAs a member of the Brookfield Infrastructure Finance and Operations team, you will report to the Vice President, Finance and work alongside a strong team and collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders.\nResponsibilities:\nThe responsibilities for this position would include, among other things:\nReview quarterly reporting to investors and other users, including financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP - Investment Company Accounting and IFRS\n\nReview of investor Partners’ Capital Statements (“PCAPs”) and available commitment schedules on a quarterly basis\n\nPresentation of quarterly results to senior management\n\nOverseeing the team’s interaction with various service providers to ensure information being provided is accurate and provided in a timely basis\n\nReview valuations of fund investments on a quarterly basis\n\nReview of accounting packages for individual legal entities, including review of tax financials\n\nPreparing internal and external audit requests and maintaining appropriate control documentation\n\nManaging and reviewing capital calls from, and distributions to investors\n\nAssist with managing fund operations, including liquidity management, investor queries, forecasting and compliance\n\nThorough understanding of the legal structure of the various funds and the related impact on funds flows and consolidation\n\nAssist with analysis of complex accounting issues that arise, including the structuring of new acquisitions\n\nProvide oversight on any improvements to the reporting process and actively coach team members\n\nSpecial projects & ad hoc requests as required\n\nRequirements:\nUniversity degree\n\nProfessional accounting designation (CPA/CA)\n\nMinimum of seven years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions;\n\nExperience in private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry, and experience dealing with complex ownership structures would be an asset.\n\nDemonstrated leadership ability and initiative;\n\nExcellent analytical, and problem-solving ability;\n\nExemplifies the right motivation by aspiring to achieve collective goals;\n\nAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities;\n\nSuperior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills;\n\nStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines;\n\nStrong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel;\n\nExperience with Mercatus, Workiva, Anaplan all an asset\n\nSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.\n\nSalary Range: $160,000 - $175,000 CAD\nPosition Opening Reason:\nNew PositionBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe, respectful; our shared success depends on it.
