The role is accountable for design, implementation and operational excellence of the associated SaaS application integrations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement and support integration solutions leveraging Application Engineering experience and knowledge of the Insurance and Asset Management business domains\n\nEnsure adherence to IT General Controls, security, and data governance standards\n\nPerform after-hours L3 support of incident escalations received from L1/L2 Business Systems Analyst team.\n\nDeliver continuous improvement through automation, solution optimization, and root cause analysis for any medium to high priority incidents.\n\nIdentify and implement improvement and optimization opportunities of existing application integration pipelines to proactively minimize business impact.\n\nParticipate in projects such as migration initiatives of BWS Operating company solutions to Brookfield Cloud environment, ensuring consistent solution design, optimal performance, and scalability.\n\nPartner closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and formulate application solutions that address business needs.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application integration delivery in alignment with broader Architecture, SDLC, ITIL, Cyber and tooling standards.\n\nCommunicate application solution design to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nKey Deliverables\nScalable, secure, and high-performing application integrations\n\nSolution architecture artifacts (diagrams, interface inventories)\n\nReliable production systems meeting SLA/SLI targets\n\nTimely resolution of incidents and vulnerabilities\n\nSuccessful & timely delivery of engineering initiatives\n\nRCA (Root Cause Analysis) system improvements within agreed timelines\n\nSecurity vulnerability remediation tasks completed within agreed timelines\n\nRequired Experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Data Analytics or related discipline.\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience in application engineering with significant exposure to data platforms such as Snowflake or other similar platforms with specialization in the Asset Management or Insurance industry.\n\nExperience with Investment management & Insurance business domains, specifically in terms of application integration and data models across Public and Private asset classes\n\nSkills & Qualifications\nExperience with Investment Management applications such as Aladdin/ADC, Clearwater/LPX, WSO and Numerix (or other similar platforms).\n\nProven expertise in ETL/ELT, data integration concepts with exposure to Python, Streamlit, REST API, SQL, XML, JSON, CSV.\n\nHands-on experience with data orchestration, warehouse and workflow management using tools such as Workato and Snowflake (or similar platforms).\n\nPractical experience applying modern data frameworks (e.g. Medallion Architecture) to ensure structured and efficient integrations\n\nExperience in source code management and continuous integration practice using Azure DevOps (or other similar platforms).\n\nExperience using ServiceNow (or similar platform) to create Service Requests, Incident Reports and action task queue.\n\nExperience with cyber vulnerability remediation using Armis (or similar platform).\n\nStrong analytical skills, including conceptual, requirements interpretation, solution creation and problem-solving abilities\n\nAbility to assess and manage risks within application integrations and implement effective mitigation strategies.\n\nCommunicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Actuarial applications: FinX, Moody’s Axis, Milliman MG Alfa, & AON Pathwise\n\nExperience with Investment Management applications: SS&C PLM, Mercatus, TriOptima, Bloomberg AIM, & Duco\n\nExperience with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, ADO (Azure DevOps), Jira, Informatica & Qualytics\n\nExperience delivering both in Waterfall and Agile methodologies\n\nExperience leveraging AI tools for delivering business value.\n\nSalary Range: C$95,000- $115,000\nOur compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
