Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.\n Job Description\nThis role is within the Private Funds Finance and Operations team of the Infrastructure group and will be part of the team responsible for fund operations reporting requirements. The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent interpersonal skills, is detail oriented, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and has a strong foundation in finance and accounting.\nResponsibilities\nThe responsibilities for this position would include, but not limited to:\nReview quarterly financial reporting to investors and other users, including financial statements prepared under US GAAP, as well as Fund and investment performance metric tracking\n\nReview NAV packs (or working papers) prepared by external Fund Administrators to ensure accuracy and completeness\n\nManage Fund capital activity, liquidity and forecasting, including investor queries and compliance\n\nPresent quarterly significant transactions to senior management\n\nWorking with various external service providers to ensure information being provided to investors is accurate and provided on a timely basis\n\nReview of support and working papers for investor K-1s and Canadian tax TBs\n\nPreparing internal and external audit requests and maintaining appropriate control documentation\n\nThorough understanding of the complex legal structures of the various Funds and the related impact on funds flows and consolidation\n\nAssist with analysis of complex accounting issues that arise\n\nAssist with process improvements to the reporting process\n\nSpecial projects & ad hoc requests as required\n\nRequirements\nUniversity degree (business or accounting an asset)\n\nProfessional accounting designation (CPA/CA )\n\nMinimum of five years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions\n\nExperience in private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry, and experience dealing with complex ownership structures would be an asset\n\nDemonstrated leadership ability and initiative\n\nExcellent analytical, and problem-solving ability\n\nExemplifies the right motivation by aspiring to achieve collective goals\n\nAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities\n\nSuperior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills\n\nStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines\n\nStrong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel\n\nSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development\n\nSalary Range: $90,000 - $110,000\nPosition Opening Reason:\nNew PositionBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
