Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.\nJob Description\nThe Senior Financial Analyst will join the North American Portfolio Management team within Brookfield’s Infrastructure business group. The objective of the team is to partner effectively with our North American operating businesses to drive and track performance, support value creation initiatives, onboard new acquisitions, and act as a trusted resource on financial matters. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to financial reporting, treasury, investor relations and tax at both a junior and executive Brookfield levels.\nThe Senior Financial Analyst will work alongside a group involved in overseeing Brookfield’s North American infrastructure investments which includes financial analysis (FP&A); evaluating performance against plans / prior year; reviewing, evaluating, and/or preparing annual business plans and valuations; managing holding company service providers (accounting / administration, audit, and tax), driving key initiatives (ad hoc projects / initiatives, risk management, treasury / liquidity, etc); supporting completion of quarterly and annual financial reporting submissions; and assisting with onboarding new investments through optimization of people, processes and systems. Globally, the Senior Financial Analyst will be involved in supporting the oversight of regional Portfolio Management teams which includes managing global FP&A deliverables and initiatives; partnering with Financial Operations; supporting scaling of existing global processes as portfolio of investments grows; and other ad hoc projects / initiatives.\nThe Senior Financial Analyst role is a highly visible position that provides the foundation, guidance and exposure towards a successful and challenging career in finance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent interpersonal skills, is detail oriented, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and has a strong foundation in finance and accounting.\nResponsibilities:\nCompile, analyze and evaluate financial and liquidity forecasts, in order to track results of operating assets spanning multiple segments and articulate findings to key stakeholders;\nProvide oversight of quarterly and annual financial reporting submissions from operating assets including compliance with group reporting policies, performing variance analysis and reviewing capital expenditure forecasts;\nPrepare quarterly operating and results presentations for Brookfield senior management, supporting key decision making activity;\nDevelop a thorough understanding of operating businesses in order to explain performance metrics and strategic objectives in a clear, concise manner;\nSupport financial reporting function, including credit agreement compliance, of certain operating assets and coordinate with service providers to prepare timely and accurate financial reporting submissions;\nPrepare technical accounting memos and analysis;\nFrequent communication with operating asset finance teams and with public and private fund finance teams to support supplemental reporting;\nSupport Brookfield’s annual business planning process, including review and/or supporting the update of operating company models/long-term assumptions and preparation of management presentations;\nUtilizing financial modeling and scenario analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities\nSupport onboarding and integration of new acquisitions into Brookfield finance and accounting processes including developing frameworks to optimize decision making and value\nIdentification of ways to improve and streamline processes in the context of a growing operating platform;\nStrategic ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required.\nRequirements:\nQualified CPA, CA, ideally with Big 4 experience and a proven track record of high performance;\nDemonstrated leadership ability and is a team player, willing to always support the team;\nSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development;\nStrong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including comfort interacting with senior executives;\nHighly analytical with great attention to detail, AI-enabled analytic skills are a plus;\nExceptional quality standards and an ongoing desire to push for new approaches, insights and presentation methods;\nAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities;\nStrong Excel skills, including proficiency to develop and review financial models;\nStrong PowerPoint skills, including the ability to translate financial results into key messages.\nEstimated Compensation:\n$95,000-$115,000\nPosition Opening Reason:\nNew PositionBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe, respectful; our shared success depends on it.
