Robot Repair TechnicianJob Description
The Robot Repair Technician is a senior-level position responsible for handling the most complex diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and devices. This role requires expert-level technical skills, significant experience, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior technicians. Additionally, the Robot Repair Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all serviced equipment and may also be involved in developing and improving repair procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Expert Diagnostic and Repair: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on complex equipment and devices. Utilize specialized tools and techniques to resolve issues that require a high level of technical expertise.
Project Leadership: Lead repair projects, from initial diagnosis to final testing and quality control. Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the long-term reliability and performance of equipment.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality control process for all repairs, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and durability.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all repair activities, including diagnostics, parts used, repair procedures, and outcomes. Generate reports and provide insights to management on repair trends and equipment performance.
Customer Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for high-priority or complex customer repair needs. Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers and ensure their satisfaction with the repair process.
Training and Development: Mentor and train junior technicians (Repair Technician I and II) by sharing expertise and providing guidance on complex repairs. Assist in developing training programs and materials.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of repair processes, tools, and techniques. Suggest and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Inventory Oversight: Manage inventory levels for specialized repair parts, tools, and equipment. Ensure that critical items are available and properly maintained.
Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Identify potential safety risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to learn company-based applications.
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a workshop or repair facility setting. Exposure to various tools, equipment, and machinery; adherence to strict safety protocols is required.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
High school diploma or equivalent; advanced Technical Certification or Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a repair or technical role, with extensive experience handling complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
Expert knowledge of repair tools, equipment, and advanced diagnostic techniques.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical manuals and schematics.
Experience with process improvement and quality assurance practices.
Ability to mentor and guide junior technicians.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Dexterity to handle small parts and precision tools with expertise.
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $30.40 USD to $41.13 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
